I can't believe Monarch are not on the CAA list of breaching consumer law in withholding compensation.
It will be interesting to read the full report of the CAA’s review of airlines’ approaches to compensation and providing passengers with information about their rights, which will be published on Monday.

Number available but really a waste of time - best to use [EMAIL="euclaim@monarch.co.uk"]euclaim@monarch.co.uk[/EMAIL] but that is not much better. 5 week wait is early for Monarch to even look at your claim/realise they have it.

    111kab I'll second that.
I've tried phoning & they just pass a message on to
Euclaim who then email a response that their original decision remains the same - I'm not giving up though

I would be particularly interested in hearing from anyone on this forum who has had a 'reject' letter from Monarch where it refers to hidden manufacturing defect or similar.

Before responding be aware that I will require a copy of the Monarch reject letter and the preference is that this response relates to an Airbus plane (A320 or 321) which is still registered to Monarch Airlines - I can check these points if you advise flight number and date of flight.

All information can be dealt with via PM if desired.

    Thank you.

Hi, I posted a claim for a 10 hour delay on a flight from Almeria to Manchester on 1st August 2010 (Flight No: ZB525) over 5 weeks ago and so far I still haven't heard anything from Monarch. I sent an email last week chasing this up and still haven't heard back.

Does anyone have a specific phone number for Monarch and delay compensation or do you have to go through their main number?

    Any help gratefully received, thanks.

Initiated court action ten days ago via moneyclaim online and received an acknowledgement of service filed by monarch today. Is this just another delaying tactic by them? Certainly seems like it.
I'm quite prepared to see them in court!

Have a read of Vaubans guide, there's absolutely nothing wrong with receiving an 'acknowledgment of service' it's all standard, the next thing you should receive is their short defence.

Not sure if successes are still being posted on here but as I posted to show I'd originally been denied I thought I'd update:

Monarch agreed to settle my claim with EUclaim via Bott & Co (I know I could have done it myself but I've already got 5 Private Parking PCNs to deal with!).

Flight ZB227 from PMI to LGW on 9th May 2012.

Delayed for 4 hours 45 minutes due to two separate faults, one of which required a diversion to Manchester to pick up a replacement part.

Monarch originally denied my claim, stating technical reasons beyond their control.
    Debt Summary:
    [STRIKE]Natwest 5yr £4000 loan[/STRIKE] - Paid off!
    [STRIKE]£3.8k loan from parents[/STRIKE] - Paid off!
Capital One Progress MasterCard - £500 limit - paying off in full each month

Monarch appear to be altering their stance in respect of delay payments as I have just seen this post on another forum. https://www.facebook.com/MonarchComplaints/posts/394930164001706
