After being denied twice for flight ZB627 Arrecife to Manchester on 12/2 2013 we have now been compensated for our delayed flight. :j
  • Can any one please advise if they have received compensation for this flight. I got fobbed off with 'technical reasons'. This flight (Gatwick to Arrecife) was delayed 12 hours as the plane had been stuck on the ground at Paphos due to a technical fault and once repaired the crew were out of flying hours. I quoted EU court decisions at Monarch but they still claimed that a plane fault was exraordinary circumstances which was not the case. Any replies about this flight much appreciated

  • Does anyone know if "cracked windscreen" as an extraordinary circumstance is now acceptable for compensation? I had my first claim rejected by Monarch. This was flight No. ZB676 Manchester to Alicante on 3 September 2012.

It's not what the technical fault is but what caused it that determines if it was extraordinary. Do you know this? When/where were you flying? And have you read my guide?

Apparently all outstanding claims with monarch will be contacted today or tomorrow once the legal team "get a process in place"

be looking at thousands of such claims and it is imperative that we adopt a
process to ensure all such claims are handled as efficiently and speedily as
