Ooohhh you have a man that cleans the oven... Lucky womanA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

We started a new celeb lifestyle today, with a private showing of a film at the cinema.
Admittedly it was a family ticket to see Monsters Inc., but no one else turned up, so we had the place entirely to ourselves!
Had a v mild spat with DH when he bought pasta sauce, despite having the homemade version in the freezer. It is easy to get a bit obsessional about all this (well for me anyway) and I will have to remember to tone it down a bit out in the real world..... :-)"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." Sell him the health benefits, less salt etc

Never low nag levels. That just makes the boogers complacent (is that right spell of complacent??)

I do regret the wasted money over the years though. DH and I both had very expensive hobbies (now stopped) and while not particularly extravagant, we did spend unthinkingly. I've just looked up our MF date and it could have been so different if we'd started all this earlier.
But what is done is done and I will endeavour to convert the regret into focus, on the task ahead! Onwards and downwards.....
It's very interesting to read this, I read the same on a lot of diaries ( both Dfw and mfw) and mr el talks about it often, I have even felt this way myself sometimes, we just have to keep reminding ourselves we can't change the past and what's done is done, it's how we change the future that will matterI think also for me my past bad spending will help sour me on to making better choices for my future, they have already tbh and the main thing is for me, I am no longer making those mistakes ... I'm making a whole set of new ones :rotfl::rotfl:

Incidently please feel free to post on any board ... Mse is a community I people helping each other out sharing tips, experiences etc can all help us on our journeys .... I keep my diary over there as I started my journey there, I'm doing a 100 month challenge to turn my money situation around, part of that challenge is becoming mortgage free0

OMG ! DH has put the fish tank top up water, next to the woodburner, to save money rather than using the little fish heater thing to warm it up!
By heavens, he's got it!
He's also not using the extractor fan to not "pay to take warm air out of the house".
Do love DH."Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0 -

Elantan, I think that you are spot on.
It is all too easy to fall into a negative, looking back and regretting frame of mind. This is where this forum is so helpful. There is always someone to spur one on where required.
I do regret the huge amount of cash that I spent on my hobby, but in another way, I have bought valuable experience with that money. That's my excuse & I'm sticking to it! :rotfl:"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0
