I posted about mine on the Ald/ FB page and they asked me to give details to customer services which I have. Will let you know how I get on. I know it's supposed to be unenforcable, but I'm a wimp and would much rather have it cancelled if I can....

I also think that if the supermarkets realise how much these parking people are annoying customers, maybe they will rethink their using them?????

  • I had one in July, its a parking eye. I havent paid and ive had 3 letters. Does make me feel very queasy as its scarey to ignore, however Im too far along now. If I dont recieve anything by this july Im going to pay the money into my OP account to celebrate. I also forgot to type my reg in, just didnt see it, then I sat in the car eating a sausage roll with the kids after shopping and thought was ok (car park empty) as no wardens about.

Must say, I havent shopped on that retail park since.

I had a call from Ald/ yesterday, agreeing to cancel my parking ticket. They spouted a lot of car park rules, none of which I actually disagree with, they just condradict what the shop signage says..... I'm not going to park there anymore though, it's just not worth the hassle. Will stick to my other localish supermarkets.

Have managed to come to the snowy north, from the far south, without remembering to bring a coat (Doh!). Am going to try to resist buying one up here and if I manage it, do a £20 OP on Monday.......

I did that last October going up North to visit my mum. It was freezing!! We went to TK***X in the end and she bought me an early christmas pressie. No point getting pneumonia Cat. It's just not worth it. :(

Pixnmix, you are absolutely right! I was however very lucky as we hit very mild weather and were almost always in the car or a building. I managed to resist a coat and paid £20 OP today. Had the weather been worse, I would have been straight into the nearest (cheap) shop!

Had a fab time. Spent lots of really quality time with DH and ate lots of lovely food and drink in cheap but tasty restaurant.

It was actually very nice to spend the money it cost, as I felt we were getting good value and it was very considered.

Now, to catch up on everyone's diaries!

Glad to hear you had a good time, I love York beautiful city, would love to go back some day ... Also loved Bath although it was a very long drive for us, my favourite is London though, just love that place, although i can only manage 4/5 days as i would go nuts due to the hussle bussle if it was any longer ... Wouldn't mind another city break if anyone can suggest a cheapy one :)

Is aldi worth trying for shopping? I currently shop in asda and I just don't feel I'm getting a grip on my shopping bill at all

We do have an aldi about 25 -30 mins drive from us but I'm not sure if its worth it ... It certainly isn't if people are getting parking charges
