Lordy. Went to Crufts yesterday (showing) & spent a fortune on food. We did try to buy a picnic from Waitrose services en route, but as it was mad o'clock, they were still closed....

Don't think about it, don't think about it......

On the plus side, we had a lovely day, got a place card (wahoo) and I am now so tired that I have got a bit drunk on one small glass of cava!

On the negative side, I have just reported an OP for the whole of last month, of only £25.

On the plus side, I am on holiday with the family, in a lovely hotel, all paid for by frugal living & sticking to Aldi & batch cooking.

I know it's a marathon, not a sprint and I have to accept that & not feel guilty when I act accordingly!

An OP is a positive, even if it's smaller than you hoped for, or smaller than you've managed in other months. :)

Cheer up! Onwards and downwards. :)

Well I can hardly believe I'm writing this, but today.....

    WE PAID OFF THE MORTGAGE!!:j:j:j

After waiting for 10 years, my husband's company finally did what we were hoping it would, and gave us funds to pay it off.

Am celebrating this evening... with a bottle of Aldi Prosecco.

Thanks for all the support and kindness from those who have read my diary over the years and a huge thank you to Dithering Dad if he's still around, for making us think of overpayments in the first place. :money:

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

  • Great news, catshark - enjoy!
