I had people over for lunch and so had the ch on all day. Bliss.... Lol.

It was very interesting to hear other people's take on expenditure, but I am very relieved to have found MSE and to have become a saver rather than a spender...

Rounding down OP of £2 something, but a NSD so more going towards savings.

Not well so really haven't achieved anything else today, lol!

Well it would have been a NSD, but I thought I needed milk for batch cooking.

If I had actually got round to batch cooking, this might have been true.....

OPs are aimed at paying off each month's interest so that the official "payment" knocks off capital. It is quite dispiriting though trying to focus on OPs when are main focus is increasing offset savings. It just shows how useful it can be to focus on one debt/ financial plan at a time as the snowball calculator suggests.

Doing both is good for the financial soul, but can make for a rather dull long term diary, lol!

Good for you Tattycath! I think it helps that spring seems to be vaguely approaching!

I seem to have got into a habit of paying off the daily interest charged, on a daily basis.

My DH has now stopped being (benignly) teasing of such small amounts and now offers to make the payment when we do our daily online check. That is suppose, is something.

Once upon a time I would treat myself on occasion to clothes, stuff for the house etc. Now I get excited about a £7 OP to the mortgage.

    Dull? Moi?

Online banking page has now updated to say we paid £245 OPs last month.

I had my nails done yesterday, the first time in about 8 months. I'm now used to being so frugal and non spendy, that it was quite painful to do so, lol. Nice though...

Dancing rodents on the overpayments :D

Like MCI, I've only ever had my nails done twice, both times for my own wedding. Since I'm not planning on getting married again any time soon (I'll keep this husband, thank you!), I guess it's DIY nails for me from now on ;)

It's prob about 4th time ever for me, but it did make me fell very "lady who lunches", lol!

Have had mine done for Crufts at the end of the week. Have just realised that I didn't bother to do them before my wedding. Prob ought to reconsider my priorities, lol!
