The paper chain that was put up last christmas has dustwebs on it, maybe I should clean it before next christmas, too late for this year!

Why are you wasting your time doing the cleaning - if you know she'll take care of it, that's one less that needs to be on your list :rotfl:

I must admit I have been tempted :rotfl:

Although, she'd be saying, "Oh poor Shelley, can't cope with the cleaning so I have to help her" to all and sundry. My MIL does love to feel needed, by fair means or foul! Although, her means of feeling wanted is pulling furniture out when we're not in and vacuuming if there's the slightest speck of dust :rotfl:

I did my annual clean of the Venetian blinds on Saturday. Resting on laurels now. :D

So how we doing post Christmas? I'm still getting through the recycling, trying to remember to throw the cardboard boxes away, instead of just leaving them on the floor

Got struck down with flu New Years Eve, still coughing and no energy even for eating. Christmas tree is still up. Taking them all down before 12th night hasn't done much for our luck in previous years, so don't give a stuff anymore
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

I should have rested on laurels for longer!

Damn boiler started losing pressure at the weekend. Had to call plumber today and he found a leak from pipe into bedroom radiator.

Apparently, I must have bashed it with the Hoover, a common problem, according to the plumber!

Here's my sloblady tip - to avoid doing any ironing, never buy any clothes that need to be ironed. If the other half insists on having stuff that needs to be ironed, tell him to iron them himself :)
    Rule that I live by!!

alternatively, get a boyfriend who refuses to allow you to iron his shirts, because you don't do them properly. I have a lot to thank our armed forces for ;)
