Finally got the kids to put the decs away on Friday. Now to get them upstairs and from there into the loft before Easter.
Threw away 6 x 4 pints milk yesterday because we just stopped drinking it while I was ill. One bottle had gone a little bit further than the rest and actually went pop when I took the lid off, and showered me in little dollops of sour milkPlease forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
Furniture got moved back this week ... only two weeks after the decorations came down. BIL spotted one dec still up in the hall last weekend, I still haven't taken that down!:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

We've a bauble shaped candle holder on the fireplace that I bought 4 Christmases ago and gets forgotten to put away every year. It's not moved nor has it ever held a candle.0 -

Well I can hold my head up again..........last night I noticed 3 little angels still sitting on a shelf in the living room:D Think I may just leave them there;)
However I really must do some decluttering - watched a programme a few nights ago about hoarding and the lady had even kept her dead rabbit in the freezer:eek:I thought she was very brave allowing the 2 scary ladies in her home to help her declutter and she clearly had some emotional issues to deal with. It was in the end a good outcome - rabbit buried and clutter gone revealing a lovely home................I dont think I would want to keep my dead pets but I do have an awful lot of 'stuff'..........its a FLW on Eb*y so no excuses;)Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Christmas decs are still on the landing waiting to go back into the loft... and furniture in the front room still needs rearranging from the tree coming down. Since January though it's been full on with taking DD to college open evenings, A level choices, college interviews, GCSE revision, parent's evenings etc and having to find the time for DS to do all his stuff as well. Great having children who are high achievers but as a single parent it's flipping hard work fitting it all in.
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it0 -
You people have floordrobes?? I have a giant costco bag that gets dumped on the bed to find what I need, then clothes get stuffed back in to clear the bed ready for sleeping..
I did hang up 3 t-shirts today.
Some christmas decs are still waiting to go in the loft.0 -
My Christmas lines are washed, dried, folded and neatly stacked on top of the drier. The nutcrackers are still on the mantel.
Oh, and dead pets? My son has the ashes of his two Elkhounds neatly boxed and stored in his closet. I have no idea of what he's planning on doing with them. A few years ago he thought about having them pressed into a diamond but found out he'd be cheaper buying a stone. I think he's planning on having them buried with him when the time comes!0
