Seems the whole fresh salmon I got out to defrost before new year got forgotten while we had the flu...
I can't explain the smell in my conservatory right nowPlease forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -

OMG poor you. We had a terrible smell in our bin and realised it was the smell of gone off fish. I bought two whole salmon and it was the wrappings that had been round it that smelt. That was bad enough, never mind a whole gone off salmon.0 -

Damn boiler started losing pressure at the weekend. Had to call plumber today and he found a leak from pipe into bedroom radiator.
Apparently, I must have bashed it with the Hoover, a common problem, according to the plumber!
That goes to prove that you just shouldn't do housework!0 -
Oh poor you! That must be rank. Bet you've some interested neighbourhood cats though!
Nooo, my two dogs have seen to that, but showed no interest in the blooming thing while it was defrosting, and even less attention when it started to go off...Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
Used to live near a creek where the salmon spawned. I know how you are suffering. The stench is undescribable. The city actually came with a backhoe to dig them under ground.
I am worried. I've actually put six things in the charity store bag. Next thing you know, I'll have the bag in the car for drop off!0 -
My Dyson died yesterday. Possibly from shock, I hadn't used it in so long, but it developed a hideous death rattle and conked out. I managed to fix it last time, but I think it really has given up the ghost.
This is why I don't do housework. It's just too expensive to buy the equipment. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

I'm worried for you. In fact, I'll go and have a lie down now just in case it's catching.0 -

Decided to hoover the bedroom today (I know, what was I thinking?) Put the pokey-bit underneath the chest of drawers, and it dragged out not one, but TWO bras!
One even still had the (sale) tags on, by my deductions I must have bought it at least 6 months ago0
