It is with regret that I must tender my (temporary) resignation from the Sloblady thread.

Last weekend I washed the bed linen.
Earlier this week, I cleaned the bathroom.
Last night, I defrosted the freezer.
And this morning, I have hoovered.

:( I will miss you all. But I will return in about three months, when I've done nothing since! :)

Don't worry, yesterday I cleaned the whole house to a point where I wouldn't be embarrassed if a friend turned up.

Today I surprised myself by cleaning up the stuff I have just cooked with.

However I still have a floor drobe. A couple of weekends ago I went way. I took out only the stuff that needed washing ready for me to put it back into the suitcase later, the rest of the stuff is still on the floor!

I'll help keep the sloblady side up! There's a black black of rubbish that has been here for a few weeks now as I keep forgetting to put it out for the rubbish men, guess it'll be here for another couple of weeks now what with the days changing for christmas, if I forget on a normal week there's no chance I'll remember for christmas week!

Cleaning ovens - I (sometimes) remember to wipe the ceramic hob over when I wash up, which is about every two/three days, but the oven hasn't been cleaned for [STRIKE]months[/STRIKE] years. I just hang a tea towel over the full width oven door handle and no-one would ever know ;)

What are you meant to use to clean the top of them (the spit off grilling stuff). Never done it before but now have integral oven, so unless I want to fork out for that to be changed an gonna have to clean it.
(serious question...possible seriously wrong thread to ask...lol))
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.
  • I've never thought about the bit up there. Self cleaning ovens heat to 900 degrees and I've always figured if the crud is still there after that temperature, it deserves to be there!

I'll probably get banned for this but I believe (from others who have mentioned it, not me you understand) that Oven Pride is a 'miracle' cleaner and takes no rubbing or scrubbing, just put it on, leave it, wash it off. I might even try it myself. One day.

Going to rinse my mouth out with carbolic now...

I used this last year when I last had the urge to clean. Sparkly oven shelves and shiny oven. Lovely. :)
