Exactly. Why do you have to clean the insides of the windows when you don't actually touch them? Its the outside that gets dirty and as you say, rain takes care of that.:)

  • I read about cleaning your windows with vinegar and paper. Then I gave into my urges and went to the chip shop. If cleaning makes you fat, I'm definitely staying out of it.

That said, I really have to clean the living room. My nearby pile (the books I'm reading, water bottle, lip balm, TV remotes etc) is now so large that it reaches halfway across my rug. I may have to put some books away.

I don't understand that thing with vinegar and newspaper. If I as much as touch a newspaper I get print all over my hands. How can a newspaper clean windows in that case? I just cant see it myself.

Opened the curtains, shouldn't have done that, too much dust behind them, will have to keep them closed again!

DD and I went to a pub for lunch last week, she pushed the curtain aside to check on the car and there was a crisp on the window sill. A large, strangely coloured and rather hairy crisp. If you want to eat out and feel 'at home' I can give you the name of the pub! :D

When I was a lot younger the fish and chip shop I worked in used to buy unprinted newspaper to wrap the chips in. I imagine that would be good for doing the windows as it was quite absorbant. The one and only time I tried cleaning the windows with an actual newspaper I made a lot of mess on the walls where my hands had got covered in ink.
  • I have just read a warning about stickers being put on doors to mark out houses that are empty or with the owners away. It went on to say that someone had been caught marking houses with mud and if it wasn't cleaned off then it was assumed the owners were away.

Better clean my front door then! There is frequently mud on my door, living in the country and not being too keen on washing doors!

Today is one of those quirky number days - consecutive odd numbers
09.11.13 Apparently not due round again for eons...........it was suggested that today we do something 'odd' in its honour - so I am giving the house an Autumn Clean :) Most odd for me ;)

well not until 10.12.14 any how.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.
