  • I have moved the printed lists of flylady's tasks on my noticeboard, and tidied the noticeboard as I couldn't find any of the important stuff!

Although I have still not implemented any of the tasks yet. Only had it a year! Come on. I am building up to it....

I have bought an act!ifry... not only does it make amazing low fat chips, this is a sloblady's essential kitchen item because

    1) you don't have to peel the potatoes, just wash them and it makes amazing chips/saut! potatoes/roasties etc. feeling lazy, just cut potatoes in half, feeling like a domestic goddess, cut them in to lots of thin French fries!

    2) it actually doesn't even need washing each time you use it :o You wouldn't with a deep fat fryer so why bother?

    3) half way through, you can chuck some bacon in with the spuds and then microwave some baked beans = Dinner with just the baked bean bowl to wash up!!!

I have used it every day since I got it :D

Why not microwave the beans on your plate?

I love new potatoes cause they are usually small and generally don't need peeling. :D

Until you realise you didnt quite seal properly, open the cupboard door and its like an inflatable life raft greeting you:rotfl:

Or it expands so much it actually pushes the airing cupboard door open and you can't close it

I brought a multi cooker from Aldi reduced by 10 quid as it was the last one. Its basically a low pressure electric slow cooker. Cooked a sausage casserole in 30 mins, then cooked a chocolate fudge brownie from catering mix which was out of date from Approved foods, in the same pot without washing it (mix was in a pryrex bowl, half a cup of water in the cooker pot) kids were horrified! But still ate it...

If i gave my husband scrubbed and not peeled potatoes he'd say 'having a lazy moment were you love?'

He doesn't like new potatoes for that reason but at least i can say 'if i peeled them there would be nothing left of them'.:)
