I forgot to do this! But I did find a remote controlled vacuum!
My friend who has very bad arthritis has one of these! Its fun to watch for a while but not great at doing its job:(
On the vacuum theme I was forced to change the bag yesterday - machine feeling very heavy and sounding very grumpy. I remembered that at some point a 'vital' piece from a family game had rattled up the hose and I promised I would fish it out when I changed the bag - so cut it open and poking around found it, 2 pens, a lipstick and 56p in change.:) DD2 reminded me that the piece was lost the day after her birthday...........beginning of JanuaryBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

My brother wouldn't let me do this with either of his kids! One of them just turned 13, and I think he regrets not making more use of the child while he could
I'm going for full sloblady status - if I don't start putting shoes away, I'm going to lose sight of the living room rug. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

I used to have quite a clean house when I lived alone, it was easy, spend any free time at home either reading a good book or online so the house never has a chance to get messy. Since I've lived with OH mess just appears and multiplies.
I'd long suspected he was the messy one and he had an op last week so he was off for the week and I was home to look after him, I cleaned the house completely when he was in bed, sat down with a more than well deserved cuppa, only for him to come downstairs for an hour. By the time he went back up to bed it looked like a bomb had hit the place.
We always argue over who does the most housework and until then I never realised how much cleaning he does, but I also never realised how much mess he makes. I don't know how it's possible for one person to be that messy.
OMG that is JUST like my OH!!
He is away most of the week but when he returns there is a trail of his stuff (shoes, bags, chargers, jackets etc.) ALL over the house!
He's worse than the kids, I think...
I would be a FL if it wasn't for my family, honest...0 -
I came home from work today to a disaster house. The washing up from last night still on the counter, the floor is a huge mess with our Huskydog shedding his summercoat (UGH!! HOW much hair can one dog loose!!?) and my sewing machine plus bits of fabric and such still on the table.
I made the kids a grilled cheese sandwich, promising myself that I was going ot really have a good clean up after they were done eating.
....
They are done eating.. they've been done for half an hour, and I'm still sitting at my laptop and I've just realised that not only have I not cleaned up one little bit yet, I have also eaten a whole role of Rollo Choccies (all by myself!):eek::eek:0 -
Well, I have done absolutely nothing all day. I think i'm still in night shift mode, ao have spent the day in bed eating french fries crisps and watching 'sad tv'...Danielle steal movies. the plan is to watch the housetarts of vancouver soon, and then I guess I should get up and go to the shops for some food for the next week.
A very unproductive day.....but very enjoyable.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -

Apart from the specific choice of telly (I like the crime channels where stupid people remove other stupid people from the gene pool) it sounds heavenly. I firmly believe that doing nothing is a plan, and an acceptable one at that.
I've taken to putting the words '!!!!!! All' into my diary for evenings or entire days when I really want to do nothing and relax in my own pit. This way, when someone pushes me to do something, I can check my calendar on my phone, they can see a blocked out period, and I can legitimately say 'Sorry, I've got stuff in the diary for that day'.Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....
