Hope you like my coaster, I'm going to add these to my list even though they are not part of the baby bump project I want to count them because I'm so pleased. I've never before managed to follow a simple crochet pattern from beginning to end. Planning to do 6 in different colours but I thought I would post this so you could have a look.how pleased am I, goodness knows how I will carry on if I manage a blanket :rotfl:
Beautiful. They will look lovely in different colours. I'm like Mara and have never managed to master crochet. Now it's back in fashion I'd love to try again though I need another hobby like i need a hole in the head0 -

Upcycled dress, I need to now make it a little bigger and longer, thinking of putting another band in the middle, like a stretchy orange one, the bottom bit I did a pleat in so can easily unpick and make it bigger. I am going to fix this.0 -
OFF TOPIC
Cake Show tickets are still available - it's the show at Excel this week 12th to 14th. 2 free tickets which I won and can't now use so would like to pass them on to anyone who can use them. I don't want anything in return. Please pm me if you or someone you know can use them.0 -
Julie67 so sorry to hear that what awful news, such a shame hugs to you all xx
Maria and the Imps your curtains are fab well done.
I "accidentally" looked at the cross stitch mags in Asda for the first time in years and The Gruffalo design is in it and who doesnt love the Gruffalo. I am going to have to do it for the boys room which I will be redecorating in summer so will have to amend my project list somehow. I think I have the material and I have 16 out of 20 of the threads so shouldnt cost me much to do but it looks fab. There is also a stunning large bright butterfly in there that might be on my future project lists
Like Maria I also love Cross Stitcher magazine partly because it has projects that incorporate cross stitch - I know there are people who dislike it for that reason because they don't sew.
The Gruffalo would make a great design for your boys.
I made a start on the name design using the Superheroes alphabet. I cut out the superhero figures I wanted to use and then added them to the appropriate letters - it was a big like doing a jigsaw but I think it will work. I also did some more of my Shepherd's Bush stocking so quite pleased with what I achieved this weekend.0 -

Julie So sorry to hear your news. How tragic to be taken at such a young age and so difficult for the family left behind.
Maria Love the curtains. You are going to complete a lot more than 13 projects this year
Ninno Love your Christmas sampler - I recognise the designer (Sue Hillis) as being the same as my Stitcher's 12 days of Christmas. I think yours will look better on white than on the pink shown on the original. These are instructions for adding photos from Flickr (copied from Cross Stitch Cafe thread - thanks to Chickywiggle)
How to share your pics from FLIKR:
1) Go to the picture you want to show us click the 'Share This' button on the top left of the picture, this will show you a number of options and the one you need is called 'Grab the HTML/BBCode', Tick the button for BBCode and it'll convert the code to what you need.
2) Copy the text in the box and paste it into a new post on MSE and it should have everything you need to insert the image into your post. You can check this by clicking Preview Message.0 -
Morning all,
Love the dress, and the model:D
So after showing off with my coasters I tried to start a cardigan for baby bump last night but after 17 attempts gave up:eek: I think I was probably tired so shall have another go today. I need to be totally concentrating, it's not coming easy at all. I can do coasters though lol get your orders in now:rotfl:
Off for a root filling this morning so I think I deserve to sit under the quilt for the rest of the day on the couch practicing:DStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
Working hard to get rid of our debt.0 -
Thanks flower - I'll keep trying. At the moment I just get a red cross.
This thread has motivated me to keep going with the sampler - this evening should see the end of the cross stitching and just leave me with the outlining to do.44 day challenge
