    Well - I've got started and made my first apron - will upload a picture when the ties are on and its complete. Meanwhile I have been amassing a heap of single socks over the years and came across this as an idea for a quilt - another idea to add to the pile?

    Have just poped on quickly and read through the posts since I last looked in which was a while ago

    Welcome to all the newbies I have missed welcoming

    I love all the finished peices very busy as usual. I have made several things since I was last here, noting of my 13 though. I will post a couple of pics tomorrow and make the effort to look in more often

    welcome ninno your list looks great and i love the idea of a sock quilt. i could probaly make a kingsize with all the odd socks in this house!

    the wood i used is some old tongue and groove that was covering our bathroom walls it was also painted turqouise too. imagine using a sauna room... whilst on acid :rotfl:

    HELP !! did anyone collect the knitting cards that were given away by the daily mail last week? I am sending off for the free knitting kit but can't find the payee ! I don't know whether to make the payee Daily Mail or Get Knitting ?!!

    Sorry, can't help you out on that one.

    OT. Got my appointment through for my scan, to see if the chemo is working or not, it's not until next month but at least I have a date now!

    How to Claim:

    To claim your FREE starter knitting kit, simply collect 7 differently dated tokens which will be printed in the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday until April 1, 2013. Once you have your tokens, send a cheque for £3.49 to cover postage to: Get Knitting, P.O. Box 5001, Dept. GKP, Alton, Hants. GU34 9BY.

    INspired by my pledge I have dug out my christmas sampler and worked all ast night and a couple of hours today. My aim is to finish this by the end of the month.
