Ok im bored I have made 3 cross stitch birthday cards this week that I needed to but now I dont know what to do next. Idle thumbs and all that I need to so something. However had a little look at my list and nothing takes my fancy or cannot be done yet. Need to just stick to it and do another one off the list. x

Ooooh Carlamarie I'm madly searching Pintrest now for a quote to use:) lost a few hours already. Really that site should come with a warning! I love the round plaque in the tutorial. Thank you x

Souile glad you have an appointment through even though you've still got a wait on your hands. X

Dakota stop bragging, shall I send you my UFIs round and you can work your magic on them:rotfl:I really don't know how you manage it.

My large "N" for DGD2s bedroom wall at mine is almost finished but it doesn't feel like a proper craft cos I bought the N and have only covered it. Will pop on a picture tomorrow

    Depends what they are ;)

I go through stages of interests, this is the longest craft stage I have had without getting distracted or cannot be bothered. I have a sick baby today though so crafting is impossible for now. Im going to have to turn to the reading stage for a while instead. x

ps my ironing however has gone from a pile to mount everest no one has any clothes in their wardrobes :rotfl: oops!!

Your wish is my command Maria - clearly this is how the finished sampler should look. Mine is on a white background and I am working from the bottom upwards - I have completed the gingerbread man layer.

I have had to use a picture from the internet as I can't seem to upload a picture from my own computer - what am I doing wrong?

I have just been looking at decopatch. I had a go at covering a box with tissue paper and PVA glue a while ago. It was okay. I have been looking at furniture which have been made over with decopatch technique. It has sparked my interest. I rescued a couple of Ercol chairs from a skip a while ago. I tried rubbing one down and varnishing it but it looked a mess. I was going to rub it down again but am waiting to go for Carpal Tunnel op. on hands so sanding is out of the question. I thought that I could try to Decopatch it with something girly for my grandaughter.
Does PVA diluted do as good a job as the expensive real stuff?
I would appreciate any hints or tips.
    Keep on trucking!
  • Have finished DD curtains, quite pleased with them for a first attempt, you can't really see from the pictures but they are cream with flowers all over them

    Evening all,

I'm sorry have been missing for a couple of days and just had a quick catch up.
Sadly we have had some terrible news, a very good friend who also happens to be my DIL's dad passed away from a massive heart attack aged 48, and had not had any illness or warning. Both her nd my son are devastated. They only married at Christmas. The baby they are expecting would have been his and his wife's first grandchild.
I've been so sad, it's only my knitting that's kept me busy.:(
Trying to distract myself so have dug out my crochet books to pick my next project for my list. I've never been great at crochet, I'm a much better knitter so I shall pick something simple. I find all the different crafts you talk about so interesting.
When I was a youngster I made a rag rug which my nan taught me how to do but I've forgotten, so want to do some research.
I've also never done cross stitch so want to try that. I love the Christmas sampler Ninno and Maria the curtains are fab.
Hope you all have a good evening. Julie
