  • Just sneaking in... loving hearing what everyone's going to be making. I don't think i'll join in but will keep poping in for a nosy. Hope that's ok!

As far as SABLE goes, I know what you mean! I'm not too bad for cross stitch stash, but I work part time in a little craft shop and whenever the owner's having a clear out she gives me lots of card making stuff for free! I'm powerless to resist, regardless of whether I have a use for it or not... maybe I just can't resist a freebie!

    Hello Keiss

Lovely to "see" you again, hope all's well?

Hmm... there's something missing from your list... do the letters "EL" mean anything to you?:rotfl::rotfl:

Loving reading everyone's ideas for their projects, it's getting me thinking about what I can do so thanks everyone. It's been a while since I had time to do much other than work and keep my head above water so I'm a bit rusty... to put it mildly..
Ooops...I knew I had forgotten something!!! :o Will go back and add it to my list.

How are you spoon? Busy busy ...as usual?

My boss is heading off on a cruise at the end of the January and not back until the beginning of March, so I am in charge of the shop full time for five weeks!!!! Lots of money though, it more than cover the (2nd-hand) Bernina I bought last week!! :D:j:j

optimistic-mummy - I work in a sewing machine shop so I know a bit about machines. We are dealers to both Janome and Bernina and sell a few other makes too. I would definitely recommend going into a shop and trying out a few machines. Janome have a great range, from £99 to over a good few thousand (). They are good reliable machines, with lots of extra feet you can buy. Bernina are the "Rolls-Royce" of the sewing machine world, and start new at £549, but are wonderfully accurate and fantastically well built (and heavy too!!).

Work out what you are planning to use it for and how often, as well as how much you you can afford, then take yourself off to a sewing machine shop to play on the machines before you decide what to buy. Good luck, and have fun!!

    I love that

Oops, I'm guilty ! Enough material to clothe the Humber Bridge and enough card /card making stuff to reach the next century! That's not mentioning wool, embroidery thread and the "they'll come in handy (for something) items" Trouble is if you are at all crafty and thrifty bits and pieces are utterly irresistable ..or is it just me??

Phew... I thought I was the only one, pleased to see I'm in good company here:D:D

    Hi Keiss

I'm fine thanks, hope you are as well? Busy as always but determined to make some time for me this year, hence joining this challenge.

Oooh....... being in charge of the shop sounds good, I'm sure you'll enjoy that:):)

Which Bernina have you bought? I have an old one, a Swiss made one (I think she's been eating too much Swiss chocolate, she weighs a ton), bought in 1978 and still going strong. She's my pride and joy and is called Betty:D:D I hope you and your new Bernina have a long and happy relationship:D

PS: Enjoy your day at home
