  • Hey,

I do some patchwork, cross stitch, and make some small felt toys. I'd love to join this thread as have been a bit lazy following the mad dash to get everything done for christmas. Every year I think I'll get more organised but...never quite happens. Anyway, first project is a WIP hopefully to be finished next week :)

Ok so I have to be honest and say I can't decide on my 13 projects.... so I've decided that I'm simply going to aim to complete 13 things rather than start lots of projects and never finish them!
  • Having a bad day with the scrapbook. Well it is not the books fault more just one of those things :(

Started a few pages last night, printed off the two poems I'm putting in, then put the embellishments on.
Decided that I would add a menu from the place we went for sisters birthday meal. Went to print one off internet and ink is not working right in printer, so goes off to buy more ink and possibly pick up an actual menu from restaurant. Turns out restaurant has closed down and is now another restaurant.
Think 'that's OK have ink now', goes home, inserts ink, still doing it. Seems printer may be the problem :wall:

I'm new here, hi everyone :)
I'm not sure if I'm doing this right, so sorry for any mistakes :o

The 13 projects in 2013 sounds like a great idea.
I've been learning to knit & crochet so my list of projects will include them.

I'll have a look through the goodies I had for christmas and get back to you with my 'to do' list.

    Hi got2stitch

Lovely makes everyone, love the calendars and sewing companion.
    Hi Keiss

I'm fine thanks, hope you are as well? Busy as always but determined to make some time for me this year, hence joining this challenge.

Oooh....... being in charge of the shop sounds good, I'm sure you'll enjoy that:):)

Which Bernina have you bought? I have an old one, a Swiss made one (I think she's been eating too much Swiss chocolate, she weighs a ton), bought in 1978 and still going strong. She's my pride and joy and is called Betty:D:D I hope you and your new Bernina have a long and happy relationship:D

PS: Enjoy your day at home
Thanks Spoon...didn't get much sewing done this weekend as I have been working to sort out all my receipts to fill in my first tax return...been a bit scary and have been putting it off, but nearly there. :o I now have lots of spreadsheets with details of total household monthly spends and separate ones with the company spends and incomings...much more out than in, so need to work from my stock more this next year!!! I had made a start with all this ages ago, but let things slip a while back. I have all my receipts, so it has just been a slog to work through them all.

My Bernina is a 230 Patchwork Edition, so came with a walking foot, darning foot, quarter inch foot (two!) and embroidery foot...lovely! It is beautiful and in near pristine condition, I am soo lucky!! Planning on having a go with twin needle quilting tomorrow...wish me luck!!!

Have a productive week everyone x
