You found an absolute corker, thanks londonbabe73.
Also thanks to lil_tiger who helped me to get it to work, and to the first people who took phone calls from Bookings.com and refused to roll over and cancel their bookings.0 -
Well done everyone. I missed this offer but have enjoyed seeing everyone else getting a lovely treat! I hope people will report back to say what the hotel was like. x0

Thanks so much for sharing this, Londonbabe :heartpuls It's a rare treat when OH and I get to go away, and now thanks to you we get to have a bit of luxury that we'll really appreciate.
Also, a big thanks to the London Hotels blog if you're reading; I'm sure you guys helped in the decision process of booking.com & The Metropolitan London. Much respect to The Metropolitan, too. Good feelings all around!:j.

Thanks of course to the OP
Has everyone been contacted ?
I've had no further emails or any phone calls, just my booking confirmation from booking.com
Thanks!0 -
Hi Krispii, I hadn't received anything other than my confirmation email either, so I emailed Booking.com and asked them if it was true that the hotel was honouring our £18 rate; I received a reply stating that this is indeed the case, and that there may be the opportunity to switch dates.
I recommend that you do the same, just so that you can print out their statement when it's time for your trip - best to have all proof with you, as you can't guarantee that by next January the staff will have a clue about our deal!0 -

Just thought i'd follow up the 5 star hotel glitch with some information about our stay, may be useful if you haven't had your visit yet.
We got the £18 room for the Halkin Hotel, not The Metropolitan London, as most others did. they are the same COMO group though, so this all should apply.
We had the como suite. It was gorgeous. Had large comfy bed and sofa area. Marble bathroom and dressing room area. You get 6 complimentary designer mini toiletries, 2 soaps, a sponge thingy and an espresso machine in your room. There are lots of bottles of complimentary still water in the room. The lights are all controlled by a pad next to your bed. The bath is enormous - Pretty Woman style! The shower is so powerful it is almost painful. There is a hairdryer and shower cap, slippers and bathrobes. Prices for room service and breakfast are extortionate so if you are poor like us, go to Pret a Manger round the corner! or elsewhere. You get a complimentary drink each on arrival - I recommend the pink champagne (one glass of which costs the same as the room cost us) This really was the best glitch ever! Hope you all have as much fun as we did. We would never have been able to afford a night away like this in real life. If you have any questions please ask.Wins so far: Jar of Nesquik, LoveTub pudding, Strada Reviewer.
