    Email received:

    Dear Vikki,

    Thank you for choosing Booking.com.

Following up on our last email, we are contacting you with regards to your reservation number ... at The Metropolitan with arrival date ... .

As we advised you previously, The Metropolitan London had informed us they were experiencing some technical issues which were the cause of the rates for your desired dates being loaded incorrectly.

After further investigation and analysis of the situation it is our pleasure to inform you that your reservation at the Metropolitan London will be honored as originally confirmed, at the original rate of GBP 18 per night (including VAT, room only).

Further to this, we are pleased to offer you the flexibility of changing the dates of your stay to run from any date of arrival from the 11th January 2013, through until your current date of arrival, at the original rate of GBP 18 per night. If you choose to make these changes, this would be subject to availability at the discretion of the hotel, and the number of nights must remain the same as per your original reservation.

We would appreciate it if you could contact us at your earliest convenience, should you wish to take advantage of this offer.

We would like to offer you our sincere apologies for any confusion or inconvenience this matter has caused you, however our co-operation with The Metropolitan London has resulted in an outcome in which we are delighted to present to you.

Once again, thank you for choosing Booking.com and we sincerely hope you will give us the opportunity to serve you again in the future.

    Kind regards,

Thank you, could you please tell us the telephone number to call to change the reservation to another night?
Is it just their central reservations, or the hotels in house reservations?

    Thanks

    The number I rang is 0207 447100.

I got a call confirming it, there was no mention of changing the date is it booking.com that are changing this or the hotel directly? Will probably change it as we usually stay nye anyway so we'd prefer another date during the year?

Thanks again OP! Just got the email to say I can switch the date which works out better as I got theatre vouchers for Christmas and was planning to go soon so it's going to be a good night and cost very little
  • Also got a call from Booking.com this afternoon :j:T and mentioned about swapping dates if we wish. Hats off to The Metropole for honouring this deal:T.

Would have maybe preferred an email confirming rather than a call as would have info for reference purposes but don't suppose it really matters.

Has anyone gone through the process of changing the dates yet, in other words is it best to do it through Booking.com who called and left a telephone number or direct with the hotel:undecided

  • Mines is a large vodka and coke if anyone wants to show their gratitude lol glad that everyone's getting their booking its my 40th next month so will try and change it for the weekend . Just realised got £1600 worth of rooms which is nuts who would pay £400 for a room and the they want you to pay for breakfast !!?? Not even if I won the lottery ..... Now just remember no shell suits in the lobby lol
