  • Lol it seems to be a local salon and she refers to the company by the name 'Martina' so she's probably an existing customer. I reckon this is a legitimate win. The Skillets comp is still looking very fishy though...

Does anyone know if this is being investigated by anyone (IPM or newspapers?)

True true. It's not actually same postcode though. All NI postcodes are BT then a number, google it. But as I said I can see your points, I'm just a wee bit biased and entitled to an opinion. All the best
  • How many of us enter hundreds of comps a week and don't win once, let alone in our own postcode? If promoters are going to select people they know, then the comp should not be open to people for random draws. That just isn't fair and is wasting everyone's time. If your odds of winning in the Skillens comp are 9,000 to 1, I wonder what the odds a local person being that 1 are? Maybe a MSEr who is good at maths can work it out. :p
That ie.forum link is the best laugh I have had all week! Someone logs in to comment about trolls, gets called out, changes their name to Skillens and recreates the fiasco. Very good. :D

Sorry to bump this again, but postal code really has no bearing in NI - we are all BTxx across all 110x110miles and it would take about 2hrs to travel from anyone end to the other too.

BT being Belfast Town - map

Seems a much better system than the Eire postal set up.

I've no idea how a new postie manages over there as outside the towns there are no house numbers/street names usually & post codes are not used at all.

    :-)
