Ionafan, well done in the garden, I too have a lot of M Daisies, 2/3rds of them cut down, I need to dig some up in the spring, they have taken over too much.

Still chewing but onto the last big gulp I think.

I will do the list but want to do a bit on the frog first.

Phew, have just waded through tax return - why do I have such good intentions of filing everything handy so I can find it, then there is always one vital piece of paper missing? Good news is that they owe me about £60 so that's nice.

OH has just come in, no snow yet but -1 so pretty chilly.

Hugs, spoons and sticks here, help yourselves

    Ironing done
Ski stuff checked and named for DS1. He thinks he is too old to have things labelled but the school brochure requested it so 'tis done. Ski jacket seems a little short. I think he has been growing again in secret.

Took DS2 for a nature walk in the snow. Examined different footprints and saw a large birds nest very high up in a large tree.

I sorted a wardrobe basket and edited the boys' pjs.

I keep hoping that Bossymoo will send me some of her stew and dumplings! I've mentioned here before I rarely make them, as OH doesn't like them, so I don't usually bother for me, but I LOVE them!!

And Bossymoo is making them again! (Sob .....)

Aww, I haven't made them in years, until I did on New Year's Eve and they went down so well I did another batch today. I'm afraid to say they were even nicer although there wasn't much gravy by the time they'd soaked it all up... Virtual dumplings to you, my dear :p

Well, the kiddies are away to bed, and although they got a little unruly at tea-time (we've not been out today) they have been pretty good. The reward charts seem to have helped, and DS has found his pleases, thank you's and smiles. So, no four year old teenager here today!

I've got clothes out for morning, plus waterproofs for the tots just in case. Bags are ready, and we put all the toys away. I've s&s the kitchen and the ironing is in neat piles for tomorrow, the rest put away.

Haven't stripped the beds, and the are towels in the washer ready to set going in the morning. That will give me an excuse to have the heating on tomorrow...

My dad has been tonight (which probably fuelled the kiddie giddies) but they played doctors and he's gone home covered in animal plasters, lol, he's quite hairy my dad so I don't envy him pulling them off his arms later. They also fed him copious amounts of "medicine" and "took his temperature" lol. He only came for a coffee, not a medical :D

So, I'm just going to have a quick look round, wash my tea mug and go do a bit of stitching

  • ionafan how far are you from Kent... could you and mr ionafan come to my garden and help me?? Well done on getting your garden cleared before the white stuff lands.

I'm starting to clear the mess in the kitchen and sort the last of the washing.

  • Evening all

Sounds like a busy time in so many people's lives right now, for varying reasons, and I wish you all good Health, Wealth and Happiness in the coming weeks.

Finally found my mojo today after spending most of last week either working or sleeping - never known so many lie-ins in my entire life - don't know what that's all about!

However, today started off good as DS's football was cancelled due to a frozen pitch, so all 4 of us tackled various hotspots around the house and it now looks much better so this week shouldn't be too hard to handle (depending upon what Dusty/Natty throws our way!).

Wm x 3, TD x 6, kitchen and bathroom done, floors mopped and hoovered, washing folded and put away. Started snowing, so we went out into the woods with the dog for an hour at lunchtime and OH has cooked all meals this weekend so I've been spoilt rotten and used the time to rehome a couple of frogs - rang 2 friends I haven't spoken to in months and been onto Sky and others to look at better packages - looks like I'm gonna be paying £34 rather than £70 per month with a bit of switching about - just a couple more calls to make tomorrow before work to finalise things and begin cancelling contracts.

Kids are nit-checked, showered and PJ'd ready for an early night and I've got a brownie badge and name tag to sew. Time for a cuppa I reckon.

Exciting news re Skint - I wonder how she's getting on?

See you all on the next list.

Is there anything you can get to remove all the discolouration/limescale as it always looks dirty even when it's not :o. I do clean the toilets every week honest and even sometimes give them a wipe over when they don't even need it!

    I swear by this product
