Hi all
Didn't do the planned list on Friday as DH off work so took DS2 to Rhyme and Time to let me get some ironing done. Managed two hours so far end of dining table now clear and all of last weeks washing ironed. Just the stuff in the cupboard to do now lol
Had planned to start flying after ironing but Dh insisted in taking us out for lunch as I had been doing the ironing.
Today we have I have been busy meal planning, shopping and then making an inventory of the stuff I had in my understairs cupboard. Just the kitchen cupboards to go and I will be up to date with that task.
Tomorrow I am planning to get our bedroom and the bathroom done. Next week I will tackle the kids rooms.0 -
evening all, here for a very quick lurk and catch up with Fred
Bossy so glad everyone was very supportive yesterday :grouphug:
I ended up going out with DD3 and one of what should have been 5 friends for lunch with the EX.:( .....mainly because the EX didn't want to take the girls out on their own, and the restaurant was 5 minutes from the hospital if I got into trouble - but I was very relieved to get home in one piece. Skintbaby has turned slightly so she isn't pressing on my spine so the constant waves of backache are much more bearable now - no more bits of plug, but then I am being super super careful
Got home and sat on the floor with DD3 and DS folding up Mount Washmore while DD3 distributed to the various wardrobes so I wasn't up and downstairs like a Jack in the Box
Flying wise, my ensuite had to have urgent attention as DD2 got blue hairdye spots all in my sink and on my loo seat...but that has been it!
I have now expressly forbade it being done in the house AT ALL, as even in my ensuite which has not been decorated her "careful" is just not careful enough!
I have decided I am NOT putting up the security deposit for accommodation at Uni in Sept as I can see I will never get it back.
No more typing tonight, if I don't get on tomorrow I will catch up with you all on the new thread
hugs, sticks, spoons and snorkels to all in need xxxThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Evening everyone,
Hope you are all ok and enjoying your weekends, and that you all get some well deserved "me" time. It has been all go here, and a bit stressful. I had a call from the fraud department at my bank, after they realised there were some unusual transactions going through my account. To cut a long story short my details have been used by someone, and they have taken a few hundred pounds of my account and basically cleared it  A stop was put on the account, and they are now trying to find out what has gone on. Disputes have been put in place but realistically it could taken a good three weeks to get my money back. I have just separated from my husband, and I am a full time carer to one of my children, who is partially sighted. Every penny counts and I can't believe this has happened; it is probably the worst possible time that this could have happened. I spent my week doing paperwork and filing for divorce, and now I have to deal with this. God only knows what I am going to do in the meantime of them trying to get the money back.
Yesterday I had some of my family down, as we had not been able to get together over Christmas, due to us all coming down with the flu. I was really looking forward to it. It was good to catch up, but then I got everyone's opinion on the divorce, and how I should be fighting for more, and standing up to the ex more. I honestly don't have the strength at the moment, and I am taking things a day at a time. I just want to sort things out calmly and easily. Ex is being a nightmare and will not take reponsibility for anything, but I am trying to keep things calm and settled for the children, and concentrating on getting us through this awful time the best way I can. Apparently I should be doing this or that, and I need to pull myself together. Easier said than done. Apologies for the waffling and off loading this onto you all; it has just all really upset me today.
Will have to be up early in the morning. The water was due to be cut off for maintenance last Monday, but it never happened, so now they are doing it tomorrow. Will get all the children showered, a load of washing on and a bit of flying done before it goes off at eleven.
Bossymoo - I am glad things went as well as they could do under the circumstances yesterday. You obviously have a lovely family and real inner strength and great positivity xx :A
Anyway I must head to bed in a bit. Goodnight everyone. Sweet dreams.
Lots of love and hugs to you all xxx0 -
Awake early so have made a cuppa and back in my lovely warm bed. It's very cold today. Folded some washing while waiting for the kettle.
Look forward to Sundays as DDs ex MIL sends me a lunch up and it's lush. A proper Sunday dinner. Even though I've said there is no need. Very kind of them.
SB Take it easy.
Elle_Woods. Big Hugs.
Good Intentions Thinking of you.

Elle, I am so sorry to hear that money woes have been added to your other troubles. I do hope the bank can sort it all out quickly. As for family opinions: everyone has their own idea of what you should do, but only you know what you can do. It's like flying - everyone is expected to have a sparkling house all the time (after all, that's what we see as the norm on TV and in glossy mags), whereas Flyladies know that it can only be achieved by taking little steps, often with many setbacks along the way. Just do whatever you can, and look after yourself: flu is very debilitating, and I suspect that you are still not properly over your illness because you are having to look after your children single-handed.Elle_Woods wrote: »Easier said than done.
SB5, I am glad you are being super super careful. A blue spotty loo seat is not something that would fill me with joy, either, but my DH doesn't have enough hair to dye :rotfl: so the likelihood of my ensuite turning spotty is minimal
I was hoping to get the garden tidied up this weekend before the predicted snow arrives, but I spent most of yesterday dealing with a large frog -shredding half the contents of a filing cabinet - and putting some items on eB@y, and it was 9 pm before I finally heard from my colleague about the job we're working on (I had written to her on Friday morning), so much of today is going to have to be spent on catch-up at the computer. We are out all morning anyway. Maybe this afternoon I could at least persuade DH :A to go out with his leaf vacuum and suck up the leaves from the patio and around the front doorstep while I do a quick bout of exercise with the lawn rake? - that would be better than nothing.
(((Hugs))) and spoons to all who need them. Hope everyone's day gets better as it goes on. Will catch up with Fred later.0 -
Morning everyone. Morning Ionafan, I too caught up with shredding yesterday.
Today I can pretty much do what I like:
Make Yorkshires (first stage done, about to do second)
Hoover/sweep/mop through house
Walk dogs
But think first, I'm going to do a quick workout in the gym and then have a nice soak.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning!
Just spotted the meat I have for today's stew and dumplings is slow cook casserole beef  lol so I've got it started already, but in the oven. It's got four hours to do its stuff haha.
Kitchen dailies done, DS being very antsy this morning so I've drawn him up a chart with smiley faces and sad faces, so far so good, they are now playing together nicely with a jigsaw.
DW going, WM going, will need to go on radiators as its freeeeeezing here brrr looked like a smattering of snow even, on the rooftops and cars.
Mum and stepdad coming for Sunday lunch, so ill leave the floor sweeping till after dinner.
Keep warm, all xBossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Morning all
Most exciting thing so far is I just saw a bulfinch in the garden for the first time (possibly a pair, she moved too quick to tell).
Kids all a bit grouchy. DS3 going to Nanny's for a chunk of the day so that will calm things down, DS1 gone to work (in a bit of a strop).
Plan in order:
Shower
Finances
Dust DS3 bedroom
Ebay photos
Make Crumble
Dust DS2 room
Ebay listings
DOI with any ironingThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning all
Hugs to Bossy [you have a lovely family], LW [thanks fellow concrete cow lol], Skint [take it easy lady], Elle [extra hugs] and GI [hope things are settling down a bit for you]
I've a lot [and I mean a lot] of washing and ironing to do today, lost all routine this week what with one thing and another so I really need to get some control back and start sorting stuff out. I would love to take advantage of the Ebay free listing weekend but I just haven't got the time so hopefully there will be another one soon and I'll be ready for it [funds would come in very handy]. DH, having spent Thurs and Fri in hosp with Kidney Stone probs [they thought it was Appendix probs] is on a long shift today, he's very tired and run down at the mo but unfortunately he doesn't get sick pay so he's had to go in. We've discussed me going out to work but again he has said no so for the time being I won't but I must try and get the home into some kind of routine. Every room is suffering, we are skint and the dog is getting old lol. Cor I could carry on moaning for hours given the chance hehe. Right, away to do something - not sure what but I'll make a start somewhere!!
