I've found it hard this week keeping to a routine, I don't know why really, I just don't seem to be able to focus on anything for any decent length of time
Please do kick me up the backside if you wish
Only if you kick me back - I'm finding it really hard and keep getting sidetracked by more interesting things.....sums up the lifetime relationship between me and housework really!
So far (and most of this has crawled over from yesterday's list so probably doesn't count) I've:
- got a bit further with tax return tho need to finish later
- sorted out single sock basket at last. Anyone think of good and unperverted uses for loads of old stockings?.........seems a bit tawdry to take them to the charity shop.
- done a bit of swishing/descaling in en suite (used LimeLight instead of vinegar, sorry).
- er. Sure I must have done something else today but I can't think what. Oh dear.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Lots of hugs and calm thoughts to you, what an awful thing to have to deal with on top of what you've already got. And offloading is what we're here for isn't it? So don't apologise.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Gym done
Bath done
First of two load in WM
3rd stage of Yorkshire (the cooking) about to commence
Still to do:
Hoover/sweep/mop through house
Wash up (I know, I know!)
Walk dogs
Catch you later.
Ok, so I've vacuumed and changed bedding on DDs bed, but she's not staying tonight now, so I'll probably strip and store again.
Emptied kitchen bin
Thrown out last of Xmas flowers, what a shame
Finished cooking yorkshires, all successful for a change
Hoovered/swept/mopped through house
Tried and failed to unblock sink
About to put second load of washing on airer
Wash Up & yes kitchen does look like a bomb site now
Walk dogs
Got three guests plus me and DH for tea tonight now so need to do prep.
Just had a lovely call from DS. After all his ill health last year, he's now on the mend (well being treated) so he's booked a place on the York Marathon.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Most exciting thing so far is I just saw a bulfinch in the garden for the first time (possibly a pair, she moved too quick to tell).
Oh that's exciting. I occasionally see them in the hedge near home but not actually in the garden.
It's getting very cold here; 7 long-tailed tits came to my feeder yesterday, first sighting since Christmas day (which wasn't a cold day but I love them so and just willed them to visit me to say Happy Christmas!!!!!). They only come when it's cold. Millions (12 at one sighting) are meaning I need to fill up the feeder every other day at the moment.
Happy tweeting (RSPB bird counting day soon).Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Typo alert - The 12 at once was goldfinches, we get loads of those.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Just as exciting a blue tit visited the new squirrel proof feeder I had as a Christmas present for the first time.
One item listed on ebay
Nut feeders filled
One bed stripped
Need to move a bit now so I'll dust a bedroom then back to listing and must get on the bank accounts. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Another one bites the dust..... Frog, that is. Mr LW has helped me sort out the cupboard where all the poly bags get dumped; we've bundled up a whole load for the charity shop (they use them to put goods in when they sell, rather than have new bags made for the purpose.
We try not to accept bags, but sometimes there's no choice; or the assistant has bagged the item while I'm looking for my purse, sort of thing. Anyways, it's done now, and I have a nice tidy cupboard again.:T
Walkies for Miss Jessica Dog shortly; then I need to get Mr LW to haul the mobility buggy battery in for recharging.;)
Elle I dare say the family mean well - no doubt they'll always be quick to tell you what you "ought" to be doing; I guess all you can do is smile and nod in all the appropriate places, and then continue and do what you feel you can cope with/is right for you. Sorry to hear about the problems with the bank - I hope that's sorted out for you asap.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I've done the washing up now and S&S kitchen with anti bacterial stuff but now have a sink full of standing water. I have tried bleach, bicarbonate and shop bought stuff to no avail. I have undone the pipe underneath but can't get to all of it properly. Any ideas anyone, or will I have to get a man in?Spend less now, work less later.0

Great that it works. OH has just informed me that there's a redpoll on the feeder. I'm not as good at recognising the less common species, but I'll look out for it in future.
Just made soup from last of old cheap veg, and moved a bit more from bedroom hot spot. On the downside, OH just sorted washing and found 3 more single socksstill their partners are probably in the next wash as at least I recognise them as being recent!
Time to go and see if the soup's ready for lunch.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
