Dailies done then out to get a bit of shopping. Came back then out again to deliver a birthday card. By the time I came back it was time for work. Not planning on going out this weekend so a bit more catching up will be done.
GI. Big hugs.
Hugs, spoons and sticks where needed
bossy moo Been thinking of you.0 -
No flying, but politely harrassed Dr's surgery to sort out my meds so I don't get mega ill over the weekend and picked up a prescription
I have spent 2 hours in a warmish bath easing the throbbing back, but as soon as I got out it was back with a vengeance.
EX MIL having a strop and not coming til Monday as EX is coming to see kids tomorrow - the operative words here are "seeing the kids" so when he is taking DD3 out with her friends for her birthday treat I will be home alone with DS - so another day of defying gravity for me and cbeebies on TV for DS - waters still intact but significant effacing has been taking place - roll on Monday when the hospital has all departments at full strength
Right that enough typing on my side for now......
hugs, sticks, spoons and snorkels - dig in and help yourselves as requiredThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -
I sent a cutting to The News Quiz on Radio 4...

GILots of coping vibes coming your way. I know how you feel as couple of months ago I found out that my OH had run up a huge amount of debt and as someone who is very debt phobic I was very scared. Even after I found out OH was still trying to hide thing and was getting in to an awful mess and missing loaned payment. I was so worried about how we move forward without drowning. What we feel will work for us is having me take over all the finance and I now open all his mail, which has brought a few bombshell and in turn has seen me in tear. At the moment I'm finding it hard to get over the abuse of my trust but I have to say posting on Debt Free Wanna be board really helped me gain some perspective on how to get a grip of things. Good luck to you both.
PenPen I was hopingto go see Les Mis tonight but think it will have to wait till next week. I do love going on a week day as it feels like a naughty treat
Skinty Good luck.
Another busy day at work after I finished at the dentist. Returned home too tired to do much, so DD and her boyfriend fed themselves and threw a pizza in for DS (naughty mummy) but it was that or a take away and I don't have the money for a take away.
I have put the WM on and unstacked the DW but there will be very little else happening tonight.0 -
Evening all!
I am exhausted! Today has been quite a day. We left at 9 and went straight to my gran's. I did feel a bit shaky and had a teeny wobble. When the cars arrived (4, big family) my 16yr old cousin took my hand and said "it's ok I'll look after you" as I was just rooted to the spot at the sight of the hearse. She led me into one of qthe cars :A and I recovered my composure.
At the crem, my brother took charge of me, and he had to loosen my hand as I was unwittingly squeezing it so tightbut that was ok, a lovely service. Then after graveside, I stood with another cousin, who gave me a hug and we both burst into tears, he said he'd been thinking about the last time we were here too.
Then I got confused as to where I was supposed to be, so someone bundled back into one of the funeral cars and that was that. We all went to a hotel (too many to squeeze into one of our houses) and I had a little cry of relief in the loo, where an aunt took care of me. Can you see a pattern forming? I have the most amazing family, who are grieving mum, gran, aunt, sister, but each and every one of them was concerned for me and how it would rake up emotions for me.
Then my inlaws arrived with the kiddies, I pulled myself together, and they charmed smiles out of me as usual (kiddies, not inlaws). We went into the hotel garden on a "bear hunt" lol that was hilarious and my good shoes are all muddy now...
Then everyone went back to my gran's, drank tea and ate all her chocolates.
Now home, kids in bed and I feel like I could just drop! Anyway, it's another "I coped, I survived" day for me! HurrahM
Wow skinty, a show! How exciting, hope skintbaby doesn't try to escape just yet!
GI Gosh I can't imagine how stressed you must be, and frustrated at him.
Mrs MP I'm glad your dad seems to be on the mend.
And anyone else I've forgotten, sorry xBossymoo

Bossy I'm not surprised you are exhausted the courage you have shown today. It is great to hear you have so much support and we are all very proud of you. Sleep tight sweetie. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
-
Bossy huge (((hugs))) for you. Your family sound lovely
thanks everyone for your support. It means a lot. Money is not the only issue here, but it is the one that I need to deal with most urgently. DH & I are going to sit down at the weekend & go through things. I am sure it will not be easy.
I am popping over to my mum's tomorrow as it's her birthday. DH isn't coming as I need to talk to her & it may be easier if he isn't thereHe said he wants to sort out his music stuff, so he can sell it. It won't be enough money, but it is step in the right direction.
I managed to sort out a bit of food for us all - no one is eating. I need to keep an eye on DD2 - she is only a size 6!! TD emptied & folded.
Skinty - baby-stay-put vibes for you0
