Morning all
Bossy - thinking of you today *hug*
I'm not doing the extras from the list as I'm working my way through a grand cleaning plan from here like I used to do with the intention of getting all the rooms deep cleaned ready to decorate after the Easter holidaysWell thats the theory :rotfl:
I spent half and hour yesterday sorting out DD's chest of drawers. She may like things "just so" at times, but her solution to the mess? Shove things in drawers/bags/shelves/cupboards so I then get "mum I can't find XYZ" followed by major stropping  I've told her we'll work on her room for half an hour each day of a weekend over the next few weeks, tackling one area at a time. If we finish earlier great, if we don't we stop and put away after half an hour and carry on next timeI'm hoping if I work with her as opposed to doing it myself, she might learn to let go of labels from new clothing, scraps of paper, broken pens, pencils that won't sharpen... Well I can hope can't I?:rotfl:

Back from A**i doing my weekly shop - it's so much cheaper than Mr T and the food is lovely; can't believe I stuck with Mr T for so long!! Anyhow, food all away now, posted letters that had to go and am sat with a coffee (and a few Minstrels I pinched from DH
) before I get going on some more paid stuff. Definitely want to walk Pip later on and may even try out the Mapmydogwalk app I put on my phone - if I can work out how to use it!!
Chewed a frog this morning (think that's the expression) as emptied bin and cleaned it thoroughly with bleach spray. You probably all think I'm a mucky mare and it does sound like I am. My OCD makes it really hard for me to do this as hate touching bins and stuff (most times DH will do it for me) but I thought no, I can do it - and I did!! Silly really as I have no problems cleaning out the chooks.

Morning all, been getting back into the swing of things this week with clubs and stuff. Haven't managed much flying so i'll try and get as much done over the weekend as possible.
House is a tip.
So far all clean clothes have been put away, bins been left down, wm x 2, td on and dw on. Kitchen worktop nearly cleared. Still need to take the tree down * hangs head in shame*
Bossy thinking of you.
gunsandbanjos hugs hope your ok.“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -
Washing up done (just just 2 pans and DD's porridge bowl from the morning to do, the bowl is soaking as its got welded on porridge again
), worktops, tiles and breadbin all cleaned up
Not sure what I'll do next, except a nice glass of juice and an apple for now. Then carrying on for another hour at 11.15Think I might dust & vacuum upstairs and put a wash load on
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning, here for a lurk only - lost a big chunk of plug last night -skint baby still moving regularly, no blood and waters intact - sorry TMI, and back is throbbing like a good'un
No point ringing hospital yet until I have got EX MIL here, as they will insist that I go in for "monitoring" and I can't be in the hospital by myself with DS bouncing off the walls with no one to watch him.
DD2 has exam module today, so I can't pull on her, but as waters are still intact there is no infection risk, and if it is the start of a backache labour and I refuse to give it a helping hand with gravity I should be ok for a good 12 to 24 hours.
Have made a cuppa, looked at the DW full up with lovely clean plates turned on my heels and walked away :eek::eek: instead of trying to do "something"
I will keep you lovely folks updated so you don't worry - even if there is a couple of days radio silence I will get word out somehow :rotfl:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Hi all
This may take a while to type, as I keep getting a large black furry nose pushed under my hand, demanding to be stroked.....:D
((((Bossymoo))) Hope today goes as well as possible.
Skinty I don't entirely understand all the details with you (and not sure I actually want to), but loads of posi-vibes coming your way; hope all goes smoothly.1_step_closer wrote: »I managed to skim the thread earlier this week and love LW list - so much so I have adapted bits for myself!
My main problem is I underestimate how long things will take, end up taking on too much and beating myself up when it doesn't all get done.
I agree, not beating yourself up if you don't do it all is hard, but it's a waste of energy, and anyway, the rooms come around again next week.;) You'll notice on some of my tasks I put "if needed" - well, the lounge window will need cleaning next week, as we have nose-art already!:eek:Err the link the link is not working for me, I can getting an offers page, showing 2 carrier bags, maybe due to my cold / loss of voice, that might actually not be a bad idea, I'll cut eyes / nose/ mouth hold!!Chewed a frog this morning (think that's the expression) as emptied bin and cleaned it thoroughly with bleach spray.
