GI I'm so sorry. What a bucket of p00p. Huge hugs x

DH is doing the school run. He's laid in bed while I made lunches, showered kids, ironed school uniform and laid out coats, gloves and shoes. He thinks he's doing me a favour!

DD1 incurred my wrath yesterday. She took my not dry washing off the maiden to put her own on it. The school uniform I washed was distributed to radiators. DH came home and complained the house looked like a Chinese laundry.

The TD needs a new belt so I must ring the engineer today to prevent any more washing wars.

I'm going to have some breakfast then commence flying at 9.30 after my phone calls are out of the way.

    Good day vibes to everyone

    Morning,

Hugs to GI. Sounds like a lot of heartache. You will work through this, and we will help by lending a virtual ear x

Why is it on our day off, the kiddies wake early? Ho hum. So we are all dressed, fed, DW emptied, WM fed, carrot and coriander soup on the go (well there's no coriander in yet), kitchen dailies done, beds made.

    I need to
    Drink my tea
    Hang up washing when done
Pack kiddies overnight bag, clothes for wake
    Entertain kiddies
    HHI
Await arrival of brother, and hairdresser, not together!
Quick s&s of main bathroom, clean towels out
Make dinner for mum and brother (trying a fajita stack, like a spicy chicken and pepper lasagne but tortillas instead of pasta!)

Feeling quite calm about tomorrow. Hope it stays that way. I will be sure to put tissues in my bag, and I'll be wearing clear mascara. It's ok to wear smart black jeans, isn't it? My top will cover the pockets etc and they are more like trousers, I think it will be fine. I'll wear my dress coat and smart shoes.

Oddly enough, my gran came into my dream last night, I remember her walking through a door, she looked maybe 20yrs younger, fit and well. It freaked me a little, and I remember in my dream saying OMG wake up, and then I did wake. Very odd. Hope I didn't offend her. I didn't even give her a chance to speak.

Enough of my ramblings. Off to stir my soup.

Big (((hugs))) to Goodintentions. We're here for you if you need us.

optimistic-mummy, congratulations on your decision to quit smoking. Be strong! Are you drawing on all the support the NHS can offer?

mummyyof5, so sorry to hear about your LO's bad start to the term. Hope you can get some help for him quickly.

This morning I have made 2 batches of marmalade (from the ready-prepared tinned oranges), whilst waiting for computer updates and virus checks to be completed. Now I must go and have my shower and get dressed, as it's already nearly 9.30

I am flying off list today, as I am trying to sort every cupboard in the house and working my way down from the bedrooms. Today I am going to have to open up the eaves storage spaces and see what we hid in there when we moved in - I think there are a couple of suitcases full of bits of material (or maybe I have already disposed of them????) and I'm hoping to find some spare curtains for the dining room. 3 years ago in the January sale I bought some lovely new curtain material for our bedroom. A year ago I bought new bedding to match. We are already using the new (blue/green) bedding, but still have the old (red) curtains up, and the new material is still lying untouched in its carrier bag. Now that we are likely to be moving house later this year, it doesn't seem worth wasting the new curtain material on these bedroom windows, so I am going to move the DR curtains upstairs - they match the bedding quite well! - and try to find something free or cheap but warm to replace them in what is a rarely unused room.

Wish me luck as I enter uncharted territory... I may be gone some little time :rotfl:

    Morning everyone....

Hope you are all having a good day. I seem to have spent most of the week doing paperwork. I filed for divorce yesterday; I thought I would feel a huge amount of relief, but instead it is really scary, although I know it is the right thing to do. My mum and her partner are coming down to see me and the children tomorrow and stay over for one night. She lives 2 and a half hours away, so I don't get to see her as much as I like. Unfortunately, we did not get to see her and her partner over Xmas, as she was having heart surgery on New Years Eve, and could not risk getting the flu that the children and I came down with. She has done so well, having the surgery on New Years Eve, and she is home and up and about already, doing nearly everything she would normally do. She normally swims a mile a day and has a very healthy lifestyle, so I am sure it has helped with her recovery. She is also really stubborn, and won't let anything get the better of her!!! Unfortunately she has got to go in for a different op all together, next week, so it will be nice to see her before then. She and her lovely partner are worrying about us and everything going on here, and I don't want that...she has enough to deal with. Anyway it will be nice for the children, and we can have a belated Xmas day to catch up and exchange presents. It sounds silly but since my husband walked out, I have missed a bit of adult conversation and have just felt so lonely, so tomorrow will be nice. I am so behind with my "flying" but all the paperwork has had to take priority this week. I still feel really drained; its probably the remains of the flu and everything else going on, but I so want to get back on top of everything.

bossymoo -I am really sorry for your loss. I hope tomorrow goes as well as it can go for you and your family. I lost my Dad to cancer about a year and a half ago, and he often pops up in my dreams. I find it quite comforting. I wish he was around at the moment. Even now I go to the phone and think I'll call Dad, he'll know what to do.

gunsandbanjos - It sounds like we are going through something similar at the moment; if you ever want to talk, don't hesitate in sending me a message. We are strong women and we will get through this, it is just a really difficult, horrible time.

GI - sending you love and hugs. Always here if you want someone to talk to.

Off to finish a letter and send a few emails. Sorry for waffling!

Lots of love to you all xxxx

Good morning all, hope you are all well xx

I have been to MrT and bought a small pocket diary and written this weeks lists in it. Hopefully this will get me moving until I get Internet on the laptop as the phone is too small to read through the thread.

Hugs to all in need xx

Elle, I am sure this is the worst time when you've been doing all the paperwork and it's all fresh and raw. I know it's a real cliche but time does heal; you're strong and will get through this. Your mum is doing so well - that's amazing! She sounds like a very active lady and won't let a little thing like heart surgery slow her down :). If it's any consolation I'm behind with my flying too but just take one day at a time and gradually, slowly, things do improve.

Bossymoo, will be thinking of you tomorrow and am sure smart black jeans will be just fine.

Ionafan, sounds like you have great plans for today; enjoy your sorting and good luck in your cupboards! I'm always amazed by what I find when I have a really good dig around.

Just got in from collecting the car and am having a cup of coffee to warm up as it's so cold. Had a nice surprise as this car only cost £30 to insure whereas our old one was £200 :T. DH taken it to work - needs filling with diesel so he can do that.

    Plan for today:
    Morning jobs (washing/beds/blah blah)
    Early lunch
    Bathroom
    Walk Pip
Try to get hold of gas man for tenant
    Tidy work station
See if any more party wall work come in

    See you all later :)

Sounds like lots of you are having a tough day. Only just skimmed off to the bank and town, will catch up with you later. Hugs all round for the minute.

  • Morning, morning

re-assembled nice clean fridge this morning, DS decluttered to nursery, went to pharmacy to sort out my meds (prescription clerk at Dr's has made a medical decision that I don't need all the meds the head honcho at the hospital SAYS I need ) so it means I am due to run out of insulin Saturday night :mad::mad:

She has to refer it one of the GP's and can't tell me when it will be ready.

Booked an appt for DD3, she has been under hospital for 3 years for quite a prolific skin complaint and has had to have photolight therapy, although she is in a "rest phase" at the moment. But side effect is increased risk of skin cancer - she got a new flat mole a couple of months ago, but it has become raised and she keeps snagging it with her razor, but didn't want to tell me because she didn't want me to worry. So I will have to ring the school in a little while to get her pulled out so she can make the appointment

Currently lurking with a cuppa, flying at a minimum as very tired out from the Mr Krippelling incident yesterday - wiped all bottom kitchen cupboard doors while waiting for kettle to boil and that's me lot:rotfl:

Going to have a crafty 40 winks before getting DS from nursery and it all starts again - catch you all later
The cold never bothered me anyway
