How did you get on, Dustykitten?

    I managed to
    - hoover the hall, kitchen and breakfast room
    - clean the downstairs loo thoroughly including windowsill and floor
    - wash the kitchen floor
    - check 2 kitchen cupboards (nothing to fling!)
    - sort the hats, scarves and gloves

I am now all done and am enjoying another :coffee:

They're back. The plumbers, that is. I can hear lots of weird noises emanating from the airing cupboard and the bathroom.:eek::eek: My anxiety levels are sky-high.:(:(:( I hate having workmen in the house, to the extent that I was sick earlier.:(

Sorry, needed to offload - although Mr LW is very nice about it, and tried to make soothing noises, he doesn't understand, because he doesn't suffer my crippling fear of people.

Awwww, take a deep breath Lame Wolf, you'll be OK honey. You've got Mr LW with you (even if he doesn't understand how you feel). They won't be there too long and they're doing good things to make your bungalow (think you said it was a bungalow, not house) even better. Pip is sending you a big licky kiss to make you feel better as I know you like dogs :).

Having cleaned out the fluffy stuff on the filter, does anyone know if it is useful material for birds' nests? We're just about to put a new nesting box up in the shared garden and I could poke it through the hole before we put it on the wall but I don't want to if it would do anything any harm.
    Better is good enough.

    Yay actually done some flying:

    Hoovered downstairs
    Changed mog beds
    Mopped the floors
Filled log basket and lit fire
    Hoovered sofas

Going to do a quick dust to finish the LR and then after dinner work on the dining room ever increasing, non conquerable piles!

DS2 has really annoyed me. I couldn't get into his bedroom because the built in cupboard was so crammed that the door was pushing open. I eventually got in and turfed all clothes off the floor to create a pile of clothes/towels the size of my WM/TD put next to each other. I've restrained myself from sorting it out and waited for him to come home from school. I've told him to sort it out warning him that anything that needs washing will be done by him at the launderette with his time and money being used. I've also told him no football training until it's sorted out. he looks rather shellshocked but I'm not letting him tie me to the washing machine for another day.

I've also decided not to iron anything of the two older boys. I put ironed clothes on their beds for them to put away. These are usually strewn about the floor after 24 hours. If they don't care about wearing creased clothes then I won't bother to iron them.

Other than that I've made quite good progress with the lists

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level Three
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
    Extra Mission:

    Choose one or more of:
    • Clean inside of fridge
    • Clean a window or 2 in these rooms
    • Clean OVEN, yes I know you all hate that one wonder how many choose it
    • Clean tops of kitchen cupboards and high places (if safe to do so-if you're pregnant delegate the job to someone else!!!)
Tuesday - Lovely Living Rooms and Safe Stairs

Extra Mission Tasks - as usual if you fancy tackling something else you could try one or more of these
    • Clean windows in these areas, check curtains/nets/blinds while you are there, do they need a clean?
    • Check where important documents like passports, birth certificates, driving licences, medical cards are and make a note of where they are and if any need replacing, changing etc
    • Spend 15 minutes sorting paperwork, dealing with anything urgent NOW
    • Clean out the vacuum cleaner, empty the bag/bucket, clean filters if they are washable MAKE SURE YOU DON'T PUT THEM BACK UNTIL THEY ARE DRY!
Wonderful Wednesdays - Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
    Check fire alarms are working
    Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
    Level 3
Sort one area of clothes or linen storage making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    • 27 fling boogie time, time for that midweek fling, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
    • Check the airing cupboard, anything that is way past it's use by (maybe recycle for rags if possible, you could donate old sheets oor towels to a local animal rescue for bedding)
    • Give everyone at home a bag to collect the things which belong to them that are not where they should be, give them 15 minutes to find them all and put them away :D You could threaten to bin whatever is left if they don't seeing as everyones being quite ruthless this week :rotfl:
Thrilling Thursday - Study/PC area and Bathrooms

Wash your bathroom mats - NEW on the floor 2 days ago.
Delete 10 links in your favourites which you no longer use or don't work
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    • Clear a hotspot, if it's bad at least spend 10 minutes on it
    • Remove anything from window sills in these rooms, clean before replacing the items (which you have of course given a wipe)
    • Wipe skirting boards in these rooms
    • Spend 15 minutes tackling a cupboard/storage area you have been avoiding dealing with.
  • Good afternoon.

I am still reeling from recent events, so no flying from me. DH, however, has put on the DW, emptied it & refilled. He has washed up (including the yucky food bin :p) and has also vacuumed & dusted our bedroom. I am taking him to the doctors at 5.30 as I seriously think he is sick in the head! One day I will offload to you all, but quite honestly I don't know where to start :(

We are going to talk to the children tonight so they know what is going on. They will be devastated - esp DS, as he idolises DH. I then need to speak to DD1 on the phone. She will be distraught as well. We should drive up & see her, but we are both so tired I think we would cause an accident on the A12! I also don't think we can afford the petrol.

I have sent a message to my course tutor to say that i can't continue. i have also sent a scathing reply to one of the tutors that made an attack on me, in a public forum  I have nothing to lose! :p
  • Lamewolf you have my sympathies, I struggle with strangers in my house and on the phone even if common sense says it is for my own benefit to the point also where my health is also affected - even though in my former existence I was the STRANGER at other peoples homes and on their phones. Mr LW is with you, let him take the bulk of the strain ;)

I had the Council ring me today when I was out and about, courtesy of the Spoon Thief which got me all in a flap, so I have asked for them to ring me back tomorrow and give me an email address so I can hand this off to the EX to deal.....although I have to live with the day to day misery the Spoon Thief is causing ultimately the EX (and in time, the young Skints) will suffer the financial loss by damage caused to the property by the Spoon Thief.

Extracted DD3 from school, went via dump - offloaded un-veggie friendly duck feather pillows, aerosol cans, some batteries and more glass jars.....(where these glass jars bred from overnight I don't know:eek:)

good news/bad news - GP said chances melanoma is very unlikely in someone of DD3 age and it is a "tidy and standard mole, if a little raised", but because of her treatment history it will need to be photographed and signed off by the Hospital Consultant even if they decide it is not worth removing as this may prevent her from having any future photolight therapy :( I suspected this might be the answer - DD3 was quite shocked that she may not be able to have any more treatment and when her skin is in a very aggressive phase the bullying becomes more than she can take.....I am hoping a compromise can be reached for her sake:( - sorry for offloading

Flying wise WM fed X 4, TD fed x 3 - stairs wiped down and compost bucket cleaned and sterilised as it was full up (still on festive collection, dustmen coming SATURDAY this week -have set reminder on phone as I will forget)

DD3 has brought me a cuppa to help me lurk while I rest my legs and by the clinking I can here, it sounds like she is unloading and reloading the DW :j:eek::j:eek::j

DD2 is out on the Town tonight celebrating a conditional offer from Canterbury Christchurch Uni for Sept 2013 (she still has to get the grades....I think celebration on a school night is a little premature, but then I am just a MUM, what do I know?:) ) so any help with flying from DD2 I could have hoped for has just evaporated, best I can hope for is no trail of destruction when she drags herself in ;)

DS has just conked out for his nap, so Fred and I are going to enjoy this cuppa and a good catch up :)
The cold never bothered me anyway
