Advice on if I got account and what I would get with it

as i thought i would be turned down i also applied to halifax for an easycash basic account with electron card,and that arrived as well.
due to my very bad history,i could not get any bank account in the past year.
so back to being normal again.

How are you finding the a and l account,any problems?

Hope no-one minds me posting on this thread. Am after a bit of advice. I applied and was accepted for the Premier Current Account. I didn't ask for an o/d or a credit card but got a £500 o/d anyway (which I'll probably close down when it's all up and running). Anyhoo, so far in the post I have had:

1) Welcome Pack
2) Welcome to internet banking letter (with customer ID)
3) Welcome letter to current account (with account no)
4) Signing authority form
5) Premier ISA welcome letter
6) 4 digit phone pin
7) 4 digit card pin

So, I guess I am still waiting on the 5 digit internet pin and my debit card but is there anything else I should be waiting on? It's all a bit confusing!!

Hi, A&L question? Does anyone know if the interest on your ISA is paid into your current account or actually in to your ISA account?

I will be applying for A&L Premier Direct Current Account.

I currently have a property on rent. Can I include this as income on my application?

Also how long does it take for a decision?

Hi Tori,

The interest on the ISA will be credited to your ISA account on the 1st of Jan each year - they pay it into the ISA and not the current account.

Hi Mo,

I can't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to include the rental money as income as technically it is income.

Most people get a decision very quickly - some get an email instantly, others get one within a few hours and others get one within 24 hours.

Hi,

Just applied for an Alliance & Leicester Premier Direct Account. Received an email saying it has been approved.

I have phoned A&L and the facilities I have been offered are Visa Debit with Cheque Guarantee and an overdraft of £650 which I wasen't expecting.

Anyone know would be process after this?

Hi Mo,

You will get a whole series of letters through the post with all the information you will need (welcome pack, account numbers, PIN numbers, cheque book, debit card, digital banking etc.) It can feel like a bit of a bombardment as many of them often turn up at once but the process is usually pretty quick.

To apply for my account I went through Quidco. I have checked my quidco account and the money has been tracked as £0.00.

Can my friend refer me to A&L so we both can get £40.00?
