Advice on if I got account and what I would get with it

I applied for a Alliance and Leicester Premier direct account.

This is the email I got back
We are delighted to let you know that your application for an Alliance &
Leicester Premier Direct Current Account has been successful and we are
now in the process of setting up your new account. You will receive
written confirmation from us through the post within the next couple of
days.

Based on the information you supplied to us we are unable to offer you an
overdraft at this time and if you applied for a Moneyback Credit Card with
your Premier Direct Current Account application, this is no longer being
progressed. However, if you use our Premier Switching Service, we may be
able to consider matching an overdraft you have with your existing bank.
Please refer to the Welcome Guide for more details on overdraft matching,
which we will send to you shortly. The Welcome Guide also contains all
the information you need to be able to manage your account.

Would you say I def got the account as I got a feeling they will say they made a mistake and then not give me a account. Crap things always happen to me.

Reason I ask is my credit is pretty crap so got a feeling they made a mistake and should of rejected me

Cheers

Sounds to me like you've got the account but they can't offer you any credit facilities at the current time.

I've just been accepted for the Premier Current Account (and my rating isn't great due to a lack of history).

Everything comes through quite quickly - in 4 days I have everything bar my debit card ...

Is it a Electron card or Visa Debit?

I applied via branch on Saturday (just gone) and got my ISA letter on Tuesday and my Welcome Pack and PINS yesterday. My cheque book came today ....

Might be worth giving them a ring if you're worried..

    Hi Markb06,

You have been accepted for the current account so there shouldn't be any need to worry about them changing their minds on this. They just don't want to offer you the complimentary overdraft (minimum £250) that usually comes with the account or the Moneyback credit card (assuming you applied for these too.)

If you really want an overdraft with them and you have an overdraft with your present bank you could try to get the overdraft matching done as it does say they will consider this (you would need to use the switching service to do this and switch at least one DD or SO over.)
Is it a Electron card or Visa Debit?

The debit card is a Visa debit card.

    Regards

    Michelle

I got a Visa Electron card. Might just cancel I think. I dont want a Electron.

I got told by 2 people I would be get electron but customer services said def Via Debit card.

Now been told I got a new type of card with is both Electron and Visa Debit. they may take a bit longer to authorise but it is a Cheque guarantee card for £100
