Advice on if I got account and what I would get with it

Oh dear. After reading your original post I opened an account with A&L and presume I'll have the same problems as you! I don't get paid again until the end of May so they've got a month to sort everything out before then.

According to them my account is pending closure but they let me put £150 in yesterday no problem. My telephone codes are not working anymore. This is pathetic.

I wish I never went to A&L now.

About a week and half ago I got lied to by the staff at A&L and got told wrong info. I was not happy about this and requested closure of the account. The same day i rang back up and said i dont want to cancel the account. The woman said thats fine. I will stop the request today.

She obviously has not as its still pending closure. My card will not be sent out until the request is sorted.

I'm twitching now! I applied and was accepted on Friday but haven't rec'd the agreement as yet (it could be in today's post though). When you got the agreement is it just a simple signature or do they require you to send various docs etc?

keyser,i m in the same boat as you.i applied online on sunday and got accepted but no o/d or credit card.
i have spoken to liverpool today and been advised that i do not have to send in id ,and that people getting e mail with no o/d ,credit card ect get a full debit card but not the cheque card.
she said the application was credit checked at the time but now going through a manual check as we speak.
i think ihey will now change their mind as had this situation before,i hope i am wrong.

I finally got my 5 digit internet PIN today ... Trouble is, I can't use that one now as I phoned them yesterday to say I hadn't received it and they said they would send out a new one ... if I received the old one in the meantime in wouldn't work ... Grrrr... and double Grrrrr ... It's my own fault though for being impatient .. :rolleyes:

i just rang again and been declined by underwriters,i just wish the email at the start did not advise me that i got the account.
i hope others get the account without any hassles ect.

It's very strange that they have declined you after sending out the acceptance email ... I'd appeal if I were you ..

Card finally arrived

It says Visa Debit on the front and no sign of Electron.
