Advice on if I got account and what I would get with it

I applied this morning and got exactly the same email back as Mark did in his first reply. I rang them to confirm the card I'd receive and they said it's a VISA debit card. I also get a cheque book, too. Fantastic news! After only having a basic bank account with a hole in the wall card for the last 6 years it's great to know I'll be joining the 21st Century by having a debit card and cheque book!

They said they'd send the agreement out today, I need to sign and return this and all of the stuff would be posted to me after that (Pin's, card, cheque book etc). How long does it all take before you have everything?

I also got accepted at Nat West the other day but they need me to take bank statements etc into a branch so I'll happily accept Alliance and Leicester's offer!

Would you say I def got the account as I got a feeling they will say they made a mistake and then not give me a account. Crap things always happen to me.

Reason I ask is my credit is pretty crap so got a feeling they made a mistake and should of rejected me

I never sent any ID in and still not got the card

Great News, I've just opened mine a week ago ...I opened my account in branch so signed the agreement there and then. Only 3 days after I started getting cheque book, PINS, Welcome Pack in the post. In a week I now have everything apart from a 5 digit code for internet banking ...

I opened mine in branch and had to show ID. I've also got my debit card - no cheque guarantee on mine though ..

No, I've still not got my 5 digit PIN - Just phoned them up and requested a new one to be sent ... it must have got lost in the post or something ...

I am getting fed up now. Nearly been 2 weeks now.

Just rang them and I really wish I had not gone with A&L now. They have not even sent my card out. I got to wait another 7-10 days for it now. I got money in there. I am really fed up now and cant even complain over the phone.
