    Good morning :)

Good weekend, spent £10 on saturday for dinner in cardiff, yesterday spent £14 in Lidl on few fresh grocery bits for the week and some extra warm socks, some of that was OH's but he is buying me a cable for my camera so works out even.

Small spend today as need to get some batteries for the doorbell, otherwise lunch bought in and dinner sorted tonight.

Need to withdraw my ebay money, just waiting to courier last item tomorrow. No new bits put on this weekend, but re-listed what hasnt sold. Must try and get a few more bits on this week.

    Good morning :)

Long time no see, life has been pretty crap so havent been on for a few days.

Managed to get tonsilitis really bad, couldnt eat for ages no energy, had to pay someone to look after the horse, meant to go to OH's for the weekend but couldnt drive so was very lucky and he came up to see me and looked after me. Throat then subsided but now have a chest infection  Still on really strong antibiotics which are taking there time to work. Really really tired and if try to do to much am really short of breath.

Unfortunately had 4 days of sick which due to crappy work conditions mean they have been unpaid, so lost about £400 worth of pay  Mum luckily this month gave me £150 to help with the shortfall.

Notified of getting a christmas bonus so thought woohoo an extra £350 ish to put towards debt, nope, horse decided it would be good to colic last night, so vet out at 9pm for 1hr or so, so the bill will probably wipe out all if not more of my bonus :(

Have had a few good things, received £53 from survey site so that has been sent to my credit card. It currently stands at £3178.

Havent even though about Xmas yet, just trying to get on with work and the like. Havent done anymore work to the house just too tired to do it all, ex still doesnt do anything, no wonder I am ill really trying to fit everything in :(

Finish work on 20th and then not back till 6th Jan so really looking forward to that break, it cannot come quick enough and hopefully will manage to got some things done :)

  • Sorry to hear you're poorly, I hate tonsilitis it's one of the most painful throat infections ever (maybe there are some others but it feels that way!).

That's rough r.e. pay, don't you get statuary sick pay at all? and poor horsey -hope things improve soon.

    Good afternoon :)

Mixed weekend, finally off the antibiotics and after nearly 3 weeks am starting to feel half human again, lets hope it lasts, just need to try and not get stressed

Finish work on 20th and then not back till 6th so looking forward to the long break, not many working days left, but so much to do so must try and work out whats urgent and what can wait till next year.

House - no further work done, must contact plasterer - will try and do this week to see if I can fit it in before Xmas somehow. Will be trying to do work over the Xmas break.

Finally started my Xmas shopping on Sunday, most on credit card really, think a lot will then will be full on paying it all of in the new year, managed to get a few bargains so pleased. Have few ideas for others so will get there.

Managed to list some more items on ebay, currently have 33 for sale, one has a few bids already so hoping for some more but every little helps :)

    Good morning :)

£10 received from survey site today, going to keep in current account to minimise damage, I do have an overdraft of £850, usually in it by £400 every month. I dont spend over my wages but have got into the overdraft so now viscous circle to get out. Its not a fortune in interest, about £5 each month which is doable but still annoying. Am not going to send anymore payments to my cc until after Xmas, apart from min payment, keep everything in overdraft and then have a new start next year, maybe not ideal but think it will work for me.

Cleared out all of my savings accounts, had pennies in a few and put them into one account which I use to pay for yearly horse expenses and then start again hopefully with a proper savings plan next year.

Few more bids on ebay so pleased with that :)

    Good morning :)

So a very spendy weekend :o £218 spent in sainsburys on groceries and 3 xmas presents. Food/drink bought for over the xmas period so only few fresh bits needed. Freezer and store cupboards fit to bursting. Had £10 worth of nectar points so that helped a bit.

Then xmas shopping yesterday £244  Will get £30 back from mum as bought OH a present she is going to give him. Had £25 worth of vouchers from survey sites so that helped a bit. Still need to get a few bits for dad and OH so probably another £75 to spend yet

Then £265 on horse food and bedding  Should last about 4 months.

All of the above spending went on my credit card :o (runs and hides) oops. It now stands at £4126 :(

So the depressing bit is over and done with, now for the good bits. Sofa payment out so that is looking good. Made approx £45 from ebay this weekend. Really need to get some more on, may wait now till next year as running out of time. Bank account is looking ok so overdraft reduction plan is working :)

Meant to be getting an Xmas bonus, hopefully should be around £300 so looking at putting £120 away as car tax is due end Jan and have no savings and then put the rest towards my overdraft and then hopefully that will level that out and then can throw everything I have at the credit card.

Believe that my 0% balance free period is due to end soon but I do have a credit card that is open with no money owed so may look into doing a balance transfer in the new year. Watch this space.

9 days left at work, finish on 20th then back on 6th Jan, woohoo :j

    Good morning :)

Money received from mum and put towards yard owner looking after phi and hossie trainer so all up to date there and saves getting cash out of the bank.

Realised had bought mum too many pressies so have given some to dad to give to her so that is £27 owed back to me.

Bought my own Xmas pressie but mum has given me the money back but instead of paying my card of have put into savings so that is the car tax money sorted. Going to use the xmas bonus to put away to pay for the MOT and servicing so will be able to start the new year with all extra money in paying off the CC :)

  • Morning, all sounding good and savings for next year are always a bonus, glad you're better.

I'm counting down the days until I finish on the 20th too, although I am off on Monday and Tuesday next week as well!

I'm sure you'll attack the cc soon enough and the savings for car will mean that you won't need to add any on to it.
