Yes, one supply pipe, I never said otherwise, what I said was that I had 2 meters of which BOTH gave completely different readings. Npower deny I had 2 meters and wont tell me which reading was used, just how difficult is that to understand?
I came on a forum to ask for contact details, nothing more, nothing less. My post wasnt about what I had or what my issue with Npower was, just contact details.0 -
Its not an issue with them, sounds like the previous owner or landlord ha put the second in. Suppliers dont install 2 under one mprDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. So you keep saying, but it is what it is. The landlord is a Housing Association, so I seriously doubt its down to them and I explained in a previous message what is suspected to have happened.
It may not be an issue with them, but it is to me as they are not proving what gas I have used, or are you saying that I just have to pay for their guesswork and lack of evidence and thats ok?0 -
you pay for what goes through their meter, which would be the first one.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I am not going to set up another account in my name or anyone elses, that isnt an option for me, what I am after is a resolution from Npower.
My post just asked if anyone had contact details for anyone at Npower above the Executive Complaints team as all they did was pass me from one person to another for months before I went to the Ombudsman. The Ombudsman has made a decision based on the denial from Npower about my property having 2 meters, as some on here have also questioned. I have proof that there were 2 Meters and I simply want a way to settle my account based of correct information, but first, I need the correct information.
You're almost certainly wasting your time there I'm afraid. If you look at the case of "Npower versus the vulnerable" on here the customer wrote to a higher power (then Kevin Miles) as you were intending. The letter was simply passed to Executive complaints who refused to forward it any higher, claiming to hold between them vast skills, experience of the industry etc.
After contacting their MP, I believe the Parliamentary Liasion person assists the Chief Exec but they were still part of the Executive Complaints process & equally unhelpful.
If you still wish to try taking it right to the top however then Paul Massara was recently appointed the new Chief Commercial Officer http://www.rwe.com/web/cms/en/97722/rwe-npower/about-us/management-team/paul-massara/

According to the chap who removed the meters, a second prepayment meter was installed and 1 fed the prepayment one, when the prepayment was replaced with a credit meter, they didnt remove both meters as they should, just added a credit in place of the prepayment, yes, he said it shouldnt have been done. But the fact remains it DID happen and thats my dispute. There really isnt any point in arguing over it.
As I said, I have stated the facts and what my issue is. But it appears that what I say is even being called to question in here so I shall leave this thread now as its pointless just explaining my case again and again.
I have now contacted Watchdog over this and will see what happens.
Thanks to those who provided legal and supported advice.
For those involved in the industry is there an "audit trail" of any kind created when a meter is added, removed repaired or tested?
Devonlass are there meter serial number / mpans shown on the bills you've received and how do they compare with the meters in the property? (you can always ask for copy bills if necessary)0 -

Okay lets put this simple,
A standard property has:
1 MPR
1 Meter attached to the supply pipe, this is the max a supplier attaches per mpr.
The owner decides to either check the other meter or possibly have flats and adds their own second meter. Anything after the first meter is the owners issue.
I know we all slate npower, but really they are not in the wrong on this one.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0 -

I appreciate what you're saying here but the op. is saying that something else happened in this case & Npower deny it did happen.
What I was therefore asking was if the supplier or distributor installs, removes or repairs a meter at any time is it recorded somewhere (eg like they record transfers / requests on ecos) what they did that the poster could now request a check on.
Surely if there was a second meter & it did not belong to them as you suggest they should not have removed it or should at least be able to explain why they did so if there was something odd about it?0 -
if its a none grid meter, no removal flows are generated as they are classed as 3rd party meters. Normaly also a supplier will not remove secondry meters.
Inregards to the removl also, it would of been the networks choice if unsafe, to remove and they can confiscate them. What the op is failing to grasp is that all her usage would of been recorded through npowers meter, if the grid found a second supply they could bring her up on theft charges , but with a secondry meter this is not necessary.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it.
