You are chasing your own tail. It has to be fraud in the first place if the intention to do it is intention to defraud. And you have failed to do anything much to prove that it is fraud apart from holler that it is fraud and you might get a cifas flag.

Starting a new account is probably the cleanest way of paying for what you owe going forward and putting clear demarcation around the dispute.

Wont happen, the systems most suppliers these days have association flags and if found to be fraud they will flag it. not hard to prove, call the letting agents / council and ask for confirmation or request proof of tennancy
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Well the issue surrounding the "estimate" is how did the "estimate" compare with the readings, both in terms of value and of meter reading? As I tried to explain earlier you are bound to pay the undisputed element of a bill.

That does not mean you are entitled not to pay anything just because you do not accept the "estimate". In prosecuting a Complaint you need to have a counter argument. What was your counter argument?

To late now but (I always post for the benefit of others), it would have been better to engage with the forum earlier. After the Energy Ombudsman final decision is too late.

Also (for the benefit of others) in may seem self-evident but in dealing with any third party prepare the ground with meticulous photographic and documentary evidence (but don't tell the third party until they shoot themselves in the foot with an untruth).

What I have asked for is which meter did they use, they state there is only one meter but will not say which one they used or provide any evidence of reading. Im not trying to get out of paying the bill, I just want to know what exactly I am paying for and under what evidence.

Well they could do one of 2 things, the first meter on the supply would record all usage no matter what the second says. Now unless you had 2 mprs my guess is that your property has been used and either bedsits, flats or a house knocked through.

No property other than the above would have x2 supplys, do you happen to have photos.

They can estimate usage, but they should really just take the reading of their meter.

Can you answer has it ever been flats or 2 bedsits, also has it more that one mpr

It is a house and has never been anything other than a house. It is 17 yrs old so not very old. So yes, a property can and did have 2 meters.
  • I am not going to set up another account in my name or anyone elses, that isnt an option for me, what I am after is a resolution from Npower.

My post just asked if anyone had contact details for anyone at Npower above the Executive Complaints team as all they did was pass me from one person to another for months before I went to the Ombudsman. The Ombudsman has made a decision based on the denial from Npower about my property having 2 meters, as some on here have also questioned. I have proof that there were 2 Meters and I simply want a way to settle my account based of correct information, but first, I need the correct information.

So you would of had to of had x2 mprs, its not possible to have x2 gas meters by any supplier without this. If there was x2 meters, they would take zero notice of the second as it was not a grid installed meter.

I know the industry very well, also for a supplier to remove a second meter would of had to have another mpr.

But changing the customer is not of itself fraud. There is no intent to gain an unlawful benefit - just an intent to cap off an account and ringfence an acknowledged dispute. And deal with the dispute..

Now, find a way to twist that into being fraud.
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

Who said that? I said change customer name into partners name or anyone elses name.

The longer this goes on the longer the OP is not benefitting from direct debit discounts and the more it will cost the OP.

I also never said to "avoid" the debt. I'd do it just to get a cheaper supplier in the short term then it gives much more time to deal with the issue without costing more money.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

But by saying what you have, your saying to say a false person has moved in. From the info here I dont think the op is telling us the full story and to be honest can see why the eos hasnt done anything more. I work with meters on a daily basis.

But simply changing an account is not of itself fraud. Even if a 'fraud' flag is applied, this does not on its own meet any sane definition of fraud. You might know the industry inside out, but your disconnect is with the reality of what constitutes fraud. Read the OP. Does she want to get out of paying what she owes? Not in my book - she only wants a clear and unambiguous statement of what she does owe.
