  • Well ended up running round to several different shops today due to diverted traffic and making the most of offers.

    Happy with what I got for the money but still spent too much;

    Mr A £24.57
    Mr T £3.90
    Mr S - £9.11
    Ald* - £1.77
    Milkman - £5.03

Some good offers included half-price cleaning products in Mr T (flash, etc), 2for1 on crunchy nut and 66p rice cakes in Mr S, amazing fruit offers in Ald* - mango, kiwi x8 and pineapple all 59p each, about half the price of other shops, v.impressed! Got a good deal off milkman too as got free £5 to spend so everything effectively half-price (inc. 24 toilet rolls, lol).

ASDA also had some really good offers on ladieswear, I was looking for some new clothes for work and they had shoes for £10 and tops for £6.

Now a bit overspent for this point in the month butmight be able to make it if I stick to a small shop next week!

Lovely paella made by OH for tea tonight - yum yum!

Morries too far for me so it will be Al.. for a pineapple. Mr F has ordered some cookery books today - early Birthday present for me. I am getting the 2 Take Away Secrets Books and an Indian Cookery Book. I love cookery books. Much prefer that pressie than flowers & chocs.

  • Good morning

I hope you are all OK, not posted for a few days as I've been decluttering this week so more items out rather than in for a change.

Have only had minimal spends for the last week or so, totalling £16.35 so spend this month so far is £248.31.

Need to do a top up shop this week as need fruit & veg, but on track to come within budget as we are still well stocked on most things.

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Hi all, another £30 spent on this week's groceries, taking me up to £123.98/£200. That includes this weeks meal plan for suppers, lunches for work (soup + rolls for me, meat filled rolls for OH) and some 'treats' for this weekend. Will probably need to top up £5 or so this week on bread rolls and milk and a bit of cat food. Happy to be largely on target though! If I can get to next Sunday without needing another big shop I'll be well on track :)
    Savings target: £25000/£25000

  • I went shopping last night so updating total. I spent £40.62 so that now brings my total to £165.49. I didn't get too much for that either. Just have to see how long it lasts.
Baking needs to be done today. Have made a jelly, i put them in four pots.
Roast chicken today with roast potatoes, carrots, peas and runner beans. We will be having stuffing too. Hoping to save some of the chicken for a pie for tomorrows tea or maybe i should be a little more positive and say i will save some of the chicken.
    Good luck to everyone else.
