That reminds me of quite a few years ago when the kids were little and I had a part-time job for the NMR (old Milk Marketing Board). Usually the paperwork came though with a long list of random numbers to identify the cows.
One day we came across a farmer towards the coast of North Yorkshire who had given all his 'girls' the names of famous ladies. There were fields full of cows called Margaret Thatcher, Kylie Minogue, Princess Anne, Shirley Bassey, and the one that sticks in my brain particularly was Denise Van Outen
Ah well, whatever floats the farmers boat :rotfl: :T

MM,you are a woman after my own heart,I would probably have done the same thing if I was in your situation,I am far too soppy over animals.
Whiteface is gorgeous and how about Delores for your cow.I always wanted a donkey years ago, still do really, but I have nowhere to keep one.0 -

MM, didn't manage to get onto MSE yesterday so only just seen the pic of Whiteface. aah he is lovely. Do get him a girl friend to keep him company.
Having been telling OH about this thread and he said "oh someone else as soppy over animals as you". Not that he can talk he is just as soppy as me - reason why we have had so many rescue animals over the years. The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
Ahhhh....he is absolutely gorgeous! I got the same sort of response when I told my hubby about him....."don't get any ideas". I second the request for more piccies!0

Been away on business guys and gals, and missed him dreadfully. My colleague turned up on his motorbike in his leathers and it made me shudder thinking what they had been made of. Highly amused by the whole adopting a beast incident he suggested I BBQ'd whiteface this friday!
I'll go out and take some more pics tommorow, ysterday he lay down on the grass with his head on a tree stump for support - really funny, he's almost human!I am a Mortgage Adviser
