This powder milk from Sains is in a plastic bag, I transfer it to a jar and seven tablespoons equal 1 litre.
About 3 fifths of daily protein allowance so cheap living.

I've changed my buying to avoid the price-hiked products.

    Tesco are especially bad.
That would involve not buying anything. Or limiting your diet savagely. How is it possible to not buy the products? It is nigh impossible to avoid lines on permanent multi-buy so I do not see 99% of customers doing anything other than subvert your bugbear.

Since becoming quite ill a year or so ago I've become quite fond of jelly as it was one of the few foods I could manage. Every couple of weeks I like to make a jelly with some canned fruit & the other day went into Sainsbury's to find that jelly has jumped from 45p packet to 59p. I came out in disgust without buying any as I felt a 14p jump in price was just too much for a low cost item.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Jelly crystals are 29p in Aldi. Maybe worth a try?

Sadly no Aldi near me, there is just a Sainsbury's & a Lidl & Lidl don't seem to do jelly in any form.

I guess I missed out "...where possible".

I've been to the supermarket intending to buy some items and seen the price hikes and thought no way!

What I don't understand is how inflation is low whilst prices of things are rising so sharply.

Employed people take it on the chin by having no work, business on the other hand are free to put up prices UNLESS customers take note and STOP BUYING.

I can deal with *some* price hikes - it's when they change the products that get me.

Morrisons raised their lemonade (well all of them) on the offer 2 for £1 to £1.20...we've been buying them at that price since forever so I thought fair enough but after buying 2 bottles we pored them down the sink as they had changed the recipe and it just tasted like fizzy water. We just don't buy it at all now.
People don't know what they want until you show them.

Tesco used to sell becks blue (the no alcohol becks) for 3 pounds for 6 bottles, Morrison and Asda also sell it at that price.

Its now 4 pounds for 6 bottles. And they wonder why people are choosing to shop elsewhere.
