I ventured into my local Tresco earlier this week as I needed their cheap petrol. I haven't been grocery shopping there since the winter months and the costs of everything simply staggered me. The first aisle of special offers had a £1 shop - as though by making the price of everything so easily countable, they are making it a good deal! The fruit and veg, for someone used to shopping in Alki and Lido, were a total rip-off. I simply can't believe anyone would pay those sort of prices. I came out with milk and a reduced-price chicken.
More than the prices themselves, the sheer range of goods totally surplus to requirements was gob-smacking. I see they are producing packet mixes for the slow cooker now, which totally defeats the point of using one to use up bits and pieces to make a cheap and nutritious meal. Pretty soon only the retired generation will know how to cook a meal from scratch!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14
