Don't let common sense get in the way of a hysterical rant when something increases in price by 10p now will you :cool:0 -

You'd have thought so but I'm not holding my breath!
I read today that farmers are dumping tenderstem broccoli as they have produced more (due to weather) than there's a market for. Amazing!
I remember when Woolworths or the Co-op would have huge heaps of runner beans and broad beans in season and you could buy a carrier bag full very cheaply. These days you seem to get a measly 10 beans or so pre-packed for a crazy price.0 -
Try the market for veg very cheap and quantities like you used to receive before Tescos took over - I have never shopped there since they stopped taking all-comers coupons.
When items go up by 25p just don't buy them then they will go down again!0 -
Tesco have increased the price of 2 litre bottles of Everyday Value cola and water by 41% to take advantage of the hot weather according to the Guardian.

Is it me or has non-brand ice-cream also risen?
May just be because I've been buying by the gallon for the last three weeks and paying special attention to the price

yes will be a 50p off offer in a month for £1 probably.
I brought some chicken filletsfrom tesco last week, it was on offer at £3 usually £7.50. I thought with a normal price of £7.50 I would be getting quite a large bag. The shock when it arrived, 4 peices of meat. Thats almost £2 each, I think KFC is cheaper.0
