Nice one Mum2one XX
OH's other main pressie came yesterday so only need to get him some little bits and pieces.
Granddaugther's bday in August too so need to get her something next.
YD came round yesterday, we went to see the hall where she is having her party and was really pleased, they have loads of those glittery hanging things hanging around the walls in red and gold which are perfect for the Hollywood party. Came back and ordered her a "red carpet" from Amazon to put as you come in, got it with a voucher I had. She then sat and made a big banner to go in the pub out of wrapping paper, she brought round some other decs she had already bought, there are two life size cutouts of Marilyn Monroe and two of Elvis which will look great. Sorted the list out of food to get and not a lot more really, just the bits to bake the cake, and a few more bits for the table, OH has put some bits on the Tesco order for next week so wont be lot left to get. Need to get another table cloth when I go to Wilkinson as there are two big tables together for food. Ordered a nice silver table skirt off Amazon to go along the front to glitz it up a bit more.0 -
Rufus, cant wait to see the photos of the room when its dresses for the party, it sounds fab!
well done on being so organised with those bargain pressies mum2one.
One more hanging basket to stitch on step mums picture, then i need to contact the designer to have a moan about all the threads that ive run out of while stitching, unless they send me some extra im going to end up having to buy about 5 different colours so GRRR to them.
rang mum yesterday asked for pressie ideas, the most exciting thing she could come up with "oh a bag of compost would be nice, and it would save me carrying it from the shops on my trolley"SPC~12 ot 124

Hi there,
Just thought i'd add my two penneth.
Last year I was in the fruit and veg stall in my local market and spotted some little wooden crates which they have some of their fruit and veg delivered in approx 30cm x 20cm. I asked if I could have one and was advised by the stall holder that I could take as many as I wanted as they just went in the bin.
I took a couple of the better looking ones. One was used as a Baby hamper which I kitted out mainly from Pountland and Homebargains. and the other was used as a Girls night in hamper for my sister with a DVD, small bottle of wine, box of choccies and face mask etc in.
Decked out with a bit of tissue paper they looked lovely and cost me nothing (for the actual crate ofc).Prizes won:

My late mum always used to ask for stamps and envelopes or a pair of tights. :rotfl:0 -
Laloola, lots of shops are selling those crates now for a small fortune so that is a really good idea.0
