Rufus - I haven't had an email from them the last 2 months , perhaps they've stopped :-( and what happened at GP with all those tyres, that wasn't good

Mum2one - echo bunny . I been thinking the same about book bags I wouldn't mind having a go. I even got a book ready lol

Lol at sugar spun, your spread sheets are gorgeous. I got an app on my phone . Have all presents listed as I get them . Mind you that could be a mistake if phone fails .

Had my own email come with free t shirt on it but when I click link its not free anymore. All the other bits are just so much off not free like they used to

I thought it was just me, yes they have really cut back, on the emails now your lucky to get one or 2 items free, and the postage has shot up as well. I've only about 3 times this year, poor compared to how it use to be.

    Hi everyone,

Glad to see others getting prepared for the festive season already :)

Susan42 Have you tried one of those allergy relievers that have prongs that you put up your nose or an air purifier? I'm allergic to my cats, pollen and dust and it has improved since I used an air purifier. There are also the nasal sprays if you aren't allergic?

I am wanting to do an advent calendar for my male OH this year. Preferably I'd like to buy ready made containers or make them myself and put in miniature whisky, fave chocs etc.

Can anyone point me in the direction of any tutorials, threads or ideas regarding this?

    Cheers in advance

Gd news - the electriian came - thou I missed him, I went bad to bed!! - but they said he seemed really nice, and theyve booked in for next week!!

Not that I was being lazy, - Miss Hoodie had a sickie bug last ngt, so 2am she was in bed with me, - double bed, I ended up lying on my side, jammed against the bedside unit, she slept well!! Touch wood she was ok after that.

More gd news (nearly a disaster) she had an asthma review at the doctors, only thing the reception put tues on the card but the appointment was for 2mor, and the only clinic times - are school hrs, luckly the doctor was free so he did the review, all ok - just go back in 12 mths.

Thought - i booked 2 appointments as same time as I'd booked Miss Hoodies - the reception woman had booked me in for 5 appointments 3 fasting blood tests, - 2 follow ups...... I had the appointment card which she wrote with just one of each on, the reception manager said that could why we've had a lot of missed appointments.........

Then took her to c Despicable me 2, it was brilliant, and very mse, as we went cheapie day, b4 5pm, bogof, and used the gift card we had at xmas, (we've got enough for 1 more film), and grandad hoodie gave me £2 towards a drink (normally we take our own), so we had cheapie (by their normal standards) small drink + small popcorn for £4.... whole afternoon cost me £2..

Nearly finished my 1st book bag - just got to put the clip on it, no 2 - waiting for lining and clip, 3 and 4 need sides and lining, - all different - so will pop a photo on when done.

    Hope everyone ok.

    Hi Cherry

Just thinking can you knit, - have a pattern for little knitted stockings and last christmas we put the mini choc bars in them for tree decorations,

    or
nearer Xmas - think was poundland they do the advent calender - based on father xmas in red felt, the pockets on the would be big enough to put a mini whisky in, xx

Mum2one, you are good doing the book bags, I still havent started on the next ones. Had so much else to get on with, finished the birds off yesterday, have some more manicure sets to make up for the craft fair so might do them today, they are cut out ready to sew. Made some pennants for bunting for the stall yesterday but need to know how big the gazebo is first as I dont know how long to make them. Might cut out the linings for the book bags at the same time as one is a smallish book and I will put that on my stall anyway.
