Echo I love those pictures , the simplicity of them makes them amazing

Love the recipes girls , I'm one of these that has difficulty thinking what's for tea every night. Sometimes it hard work . I did start meal planning but DH and DS would see the list and start saying I don't fancy that can I have something else so I stopped planning cooked on the spur and they eat it... Or else

Mum2one - wow that a lot of furniture but don't blame mum getting it while the prices are good. We have all built in furniture which is nice but it makes it difficult to personalise the spaces. Tried all accessories but stil don't seem like home , been here 4 years and it still don't... Not sure why not..

Been away for a couple of days so haven't caught up fully it was spur of the moment as OH work is hit and miss. And hospital appointments are dotted everywhere. Managed to get 4 days clear so off we went . We had the best weather so that was ace.

Website making has stalled abit so need to crack on with that I think . Don't seem to get head to want to play. And craftings out the window.... Don't know what's up with my mojo so if anyone finds it can you send it packing back to me please.

Here is something quite simple if you can a) sew up two squares of fabric, and b) do a little bit of embroidery after (could always leave that bit out and just use decorative fabrics). I made three scented pillows, cutting three squares out of plain cream cotton and three out of the gingham. Then sewed two gingham squares together, two plain ones together then the two opposite ones together. Stuffed them and then embroidered a couple of simple flowers and leaves to one side of the plain bits. To scent them I bought some scented oil (three in a pack in 99p store) and tipped some onto a cotton wool pad and placed this plus all the pillows in a carrier bag, gave it a good shake up and then tied it up tight and left it over night and this morning they all smell lovely. I just sat and tied them up with red ribbon and put a label I printed out on them.

As ever thank you for the kind comments, you are all lovely:)

Fantastic cushions going on! The poppy one is so colourful, love that. And the scented ones look fab, what a great idea.

I'm thinking about getting a sewing machine......this feels like a big step in my life!!! lol

Am cursed with very handy mum and older sister so never really did this stuff (as in comparison I was so pants and as stroppy kid didn't bother to try to improve...:o) but now I would really like to get into a bit of sewing, clothes and curtains. Hmmm. Will have to pick mother's brain over what to get (unless anyone can recommend any particular brand?)

Right, am using my lunchtime wisely to print out photos of my niece and nephews for drawings for CHristmas.

No more overtime at work now which is a shame but does mean I don't have to spend my evenings working and can do colouring instead.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend planned.

Good luck in getting a machine echo, all I can advise is to try to get one that does some extra stitches, main ones you would want are just straight and zigzag but its nice to have the extra ones in case you need them plus you can use some of them as decorative stitches and some machines have added decorative stitches as well, also if you want to do buttonholes then one that does them in one stage are better than those that do them in three stages.

    Hi Rufus!

Like Peppapig, I've also stored this in my "To Do" file.:j
I will need to find some appropriate material for Christmas. I think I will use cinnamon sticks and cloves in with the filling. They are really cheap to buy in the ethnic food shops.:D
    xx
