Hi again,

Willow that is interesting you feel an urge to paint the sea - any idea why?

All this talk about cushions is giving me an urge. Ages ago I got a strip of Christmas squares supposed to be for a Japanese style quilted cushion, never got round to making it, hope I haven't lost it. I haven't touched my craft stash all year since I gave it up.

Mum2one, I was wondering how it went with your mum. That meal sounds good value. The fudge sounds very naughty condensed milk yum.

I'll take a look at that magazine too.

I've been looking at wedding items online, fascinating, including 'design your own wedding dress', the best one I found was aimed at children, the adult one I found hard to use in comparison.

We survived the dentist - thou got there to be told my dentist although was due to retire in Nov - has gone early. New dentist - bit of a panic, as Miss hoodie doesnt take well to changes with medical profession.

He is absolutley lovely, I would say newlyish qualified - he has brought the dental pratice into the 21st century.

Miss Hoodie - Got a lecture on cleaning her teeth (what do I say every day!!)

Me - Check up, x-ray - looked at my teeth, looked at notes from last few visits and cant believe what state the dentist before our last one - apparently my teeth are permanelty damaged and what a bodge job they had done (we had the PCT truct involved and could have sued but at the time was going theough courts with Miss Hoodies sperm donor - couldnt take another case on).

so now have to have 3 extractions, - 1 be complicated as it has a route canal filling - so have 2 x hr long appointments in Nov...

Good side - theres some lovely xmas stuff coming into home bargains. I brought a tin of Edingburgh Scottish shortbread in scottie tin only £2.99

They also had a beautiful sewing machine - looked quite posh - 12 different stitch designs - set of cotton etc with it £39 - rrp £89.

Hi all

Mum2One, sorry to hear about the problems you had with a previous dentist and the consequences. You will have a lot of time during your appointments to think about new monthly challenges to set us lol

Rufus - I blame you if I don't get anything done this weekend. What a brilliant site.

I stayed home with DS2 yesterday, not only was it raining hard but I wasn't feeling well, had bad heartburn on and off since my big day out on Tuesday, last night it was very bad. He didn't mind being indoors, enjoyed chilling out on the sofa. That friend I mentioned was sending texts all day but it was ok.

DS2 is going to his dad's later today, not sure what I'll do. I had a strange night, kept getting up because I thought DS had got up and was downstairs but it was my imagination.

Thanks Mrs Moneypenny - saw this in my local newsagent and bought it. Really good for 99p. Will probably get the next one too as £2.50 and looks good. Also like the patchwork square in the third issue so may get that as well! Def won't be buying regularly after that though.

Sorry to hear about dental troubles Mum2One but well done on the scottie dog shortbread. Glad Nanny H is doing well.

Bought some lovely glass jars with an embossed heart on the front and metal screw on lids (I bought pink but they also had cream). Were £1.49 in B&M and a good size - would be lovely filled with sweets, chocs, bath stuff or any other little bits really.

Angela I paint the sea because I live a 5 min walk from it and spend a lot of time when I am alone in the car just looking at it or listening to it whilst reading.

I couldnt find the mag here, will try again tomorrow but I am not holding my breath for sure.

Sorry been absent, went off on holiday had a great time was the kids 21st anyhow enough of that

Came back full of cold and then fell down the stairs I`m so clumsy

Try to catch up asap but feel its ages since I thought of xmas

Have new things to add to my website and Christmas is 100 days away so have to get a move on

Have hospital twice this week
