  • I just know that I need to do something about my weight now before it gets even worse.

I already feel horrid enough at this size cant imagine how I would feel if I allowed myself to get any bigger.

According to my scales this morning I have lost 2.2 lbs this week, which puts me 0.2 lbs above what I weighed at Xmas. I would be very happy with this but my scales have been very erratic this week so not sure I trust them unfortunately.

There is a class near me on a Saturday morning so I will hopefully be starting there next Saturday. Need to work out the cheapest way of doing it though. I got my online membership through a half price offer so will have to see what signing up for meetings will cost. They always have offers on but they may be for new members only. Don't really want to terminate my membership and then restart it but will if that works out best money wise.

I think its just the thought of not being able to eat what I want etc and the discipline I will need to have.

no pain, no gain - or loss in this case! :D

I think the hardest part with any weight loss plan is getting started and getting in to a routine with it. After a while it becomes second nature. Also any break like holidays, Xmas etc makes it hard to get back into, unless you're one of those extremely disciplined people who manages to stick to the routine come hell or high water - not me unfortunately!

  • I'm not 100% strict either but when I am good I am pretty good on it tbh.

At the end of the day no one is perfect but if most of the time we can be strict & on plan then that is better than just not bothering all the time isn't it.

It will take me longer to get to goal this way but this is the way that works best for me.

But on WW you get your daily points PLUS a weekly of 49.
This means you can `spend` them on what ever you want, NOTHING is banned - you only have to decide if what your craving is worth the `spend`.

As to my goal, the sig says 60lbs, but 30lbs may be more realistic. But I do go to gym twice a week, most weeks.

Not changing signiture tho, as I really would like to do the 60.:j

Can I join you please ladies :)

I got to goal in April 2012 then had major surgery and several months off work :( I'm now about 9lbs over my goal weight and the new clothes are feeling a bit tight  so I need to shift it!!
I did go to a class at work but it's closing and I can't get to any of the ones near home so I'm going it alone....got back on track yesterday, bought a new diary to log my planned meals and then what I actually eat :D My exercise is still limited but I'm going to try and increase it if I can and do a little more each day...might even dust off the pedometer!!
  • Please can I jump back in with you guys. I made it to goal in 2005 and put on half a stone in the following few months and it crept back on steadily . I lost a few pounds in the Autumn but expect to be within a couple of pounds of my original start weight at the meeting tonight. I want 2013 to be the year I get back to a healthy BMI of 25 and stay there for free meetings. I have learnt a bit about the new plan but need to convert lots of my old fave recipes and actually follow ww again. I know I lose weight if I follow it!

Not sure if Noel is a lady!? I am, female anyway; not always ladylike!

I like the pedometer idea, I'll join you in dusting mine down too. Thanks!! It might be a few days before I'm fully over this cough but will join in when I can.
