Rising From The Ashes - that is a fab layout, well done!

Went a bit overkill in Poundland today, one spiral notebook, one page a day diary and one notebook with divided sections. Oh and my Organised Mum calendar arrived today. Now need to sit down and work out my system, I am too much of a perfectionist stationary freak, will spend more time fretting about using it all the right way that actually using it!

Hmm I suffer from this a bit too, always buying notebooks but can never make up my mind what to use them for especially if they are really nice ones. Must try and get over this and actually find a use for them now with all the ideas here.
I'm still trying to work out my system too, so far I know I want to keep a spending diary, do inventories of food, freezer and cleaning cupboard, a to do list, notes about hobbies, a bucket list, appointments and a meal planner.
I'm also on the look out for very tiny notebooks for lists like books I want to find etc

I've actually got one! I've had it for ages .... unfortunately it's A4 size so too big to use with these ones!

I have ordered an A5 ringbinder & set of dividers :o - really getting into this and can see the odd other thing ending up (meal planner etc) in my binder. Not finances tho' as I keep those on spreadsheets and it works well.

Thanks :)- pretty chuffed (you would not believe the amount of time I spent playing around with it:cool:) ... have printed off enough for Jan to make sure it works (didn't want to do more & waste paper & ink until I know it does;))

Have already found a couple of tweaks - I'm a bit of a perfectionist too!:o

  • oh my days! update on the blog i posted yesterday with a new improved home management binder http://iheartorganizing.blogspot.co.uk/ I am truly in love and may be tempted to go this way with mine, although the puncher is £25, I guess its forever so cost might be justified eventually and i'm thinking gifts for Christmas too, oooh gotta do this.

    some organiser !!!!!!

  • Have started filling mine in. Did 2 days to a page but after filling in an entire week I've decided it looks better 1 day a page. Not going to start again, will just carry on doing page a day.
On the first few pages I have taken a lot of ideas from here with a page just for meter readings and noting what we have in banks, purse and places around the house(just copper collecting and £2)
I also put in who we have utilities with etc and our reference numbers.

It will probably adapt over time but that's fine as long as I have a record of everything. :)

I still haven't actually done any of today s physio that I have been listing everyday. Better go do it now :o

So ... have filled in 2 days of my organiser and think a couple of tweaks may be needed - won't change the ones I've done (Jan) but will have a think how to make it a bit better before printing more!

I bought myself today an A4 day a page and a spiral note pad - not sure how or what I shall do with them as mind going on overdrive but feel I need to start somewhere. Had lots of ideas but live in a small welsh village and it was a job to find these lol Like the idea of the section binder but not sure I will be disciplined enough to do it all properly. I do a daily spread sheet for ins and out of our bank account anyway. I know what and when we being paid and it basically has what is going out by DD on it between each pay day and then as I spend or hubby does I update spread sheet so know what left. I shop monthly on main pay day (we self employed and have number of clients so main pay day is large client payday lol) and get all household stuff, pet stuff etc for the month, half a lamb, full silverside and 4 chickens lol then each week veg and milk shop at 7.15pm friday nights as our local tesco does its fruit/veg reducing then and I get loads for couple of quid.
Bearing this in mind anyone got any suggestions on what I put in my diary? Note pad? Had ideas but now worried wont use it right lol brain going mad I think and what seems good idea one minute doesnt the next
