:rotfl: I wish my mother had written me a letter pointing out all the faults with my house before I bought it. However, we weren't on speaking terms at the time so I bought it anyway.
Happy new year, everyone.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
I've posted a reflective post about 2014 on my blog today, looking back on the year and talking through the aims I set at the beginning of the year
2014 has been pretty good for us - we've traveled to some amazing places, spent time with family and friends and made more memories than we can count. We celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary, decorated the kitchen and got a new bathroom, and lots of little bits in between.
Here's to 2015 being even better
Happy New Year everyone  _party_Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

We're slowly getting back to normal in the SF household - I'm in the process of taking down the decorations (though the house looks so bare without them!) and sorting through some stuff.
I can't believe the holidays are almost overjust the weekend left and then it's back to work
I haven't thought about/done anything for work over the holidays, I'm so not ready to go back there yet. Sigh.
Started off my savings for 2015 with a massive 51paccount tidies add up though!
Only another £7,999.49 to go to reach my aim
every little helps though
Also made a £44.87 OP this morning to start that off. Our mortgage now stands at £104,9XX (can't remember exactly) so I think that with a bit of perseverance, it will go under the £100,000 mark this year :j :j I'm sure that once it gets 5 figures, it'll go down faster somehowBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

being in the 5 figures makes such a difference psychologically!
I have a mountain of marking that I am successfully ignoring. (I'm sure the true success of this plan will be called sharply into focus on Monday morning)!know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Oddly enough, the last 3 posts in your thread (including this one) are from people with £104-106k left on their mortgages, spooky! :rotfl:0
