I'm feeling much more relaxed than I have done in ages - I have a feeling that 2015 is going to be our year
DH was back to work on the 27th, so he hasn't had too much of a break which is disappointing for him. However, it does make me appreciate the time we do have together, as it makes it more special somehow. We've been talking and we're going to have a mini-break at the hotel where we got married in February. We can only really afford a couple of nights, but I'm so looking forward to itwe keep saying we want to go back and now we are :j :j they do afternoon tea too so I'm hoping DH will let me indulge in that too
I'm in the process of looking over our 2014 spending and goals, and shall be posting on my blog about those in the upcoming days. I feel like our focus and priorities have changed throughout the year, so for some of our aims, we haven't met them but I'm not going to stress myself out over them. I'm also looking at what I want us/me to achieve over the next year, so watch this space!
For dinner tonight we're having sticky slow roasted belly pork with various sides, followed by HM sticky toffee pudding and custard for afters - it's DH's birthday so I'm spoiling himin fact, the pork is already in the oven and smells delicious already
 _party_
I think me and DH are going to see The Hobbit tomorrow before it isn't in the cinema anymore! We've got quite a bit of chocolate in the house that we've been given for Christmas so we'll take our own snacks with us so the cost will be lowerI still want to see The Hunger Games one but don't think we'll get round to it now. We'll watch it on dvd when it comes out no doubt.
Right, I'm going to go and make a cuppacurrently have a gingerbread candle burning in the living room and it smells good
Ah, I love the holidays.
