My running shoes went out this morning - put in the rags/clothes/shoes metal charity box before work!!!!!
Bottled it on the clapped out hiking boots though
:j:T Well done guinea pig girl:T:j
When I dropped mine in the big metal bin of no return I did have a slight pang but had a stern word and eye roll at myself. Do I miss them - no! Hiking boots can go next time(but only if you feel up to it!)
Well 2 more items freecycled this week and a carrier bag taken to cs - my lounge is almost done (need to choose carpet) I changed my colour scheme so all my accessories in the old colour were taken to the cs. I am determined to only buy a few bits I love, not things to fill the spaces (which is what I've done in the past).
Next week I'm on leave so I'm determined to derichard the shed :eek:and the cupboard in the sun room/lean to
Big hugs to those struggling at the moment. Remember if your not bringing anything in you're still dehoarding (in the sense that you're not adding to it). Even 1 item out is one item less in your home.

Made yet another small bag of clothes this morning though....mainly rag.....a jumper I hide in a lot of winter, a few t shirts with holes. No one sees them as they are under layers but.....I know, and I don't need them, so they are out.
I have similar items of clothing to hide in, one of them, an old worn, no longer cosy fleece, is washed and in the bag to go out. Bag is filling slowly, but it's not made it out of the flat yet
The more I sort the. More seems to appear, which is a not depressing.
I have been feeling so much better recently, and I am determined now to keep going and sort stuff out in a big way.
Know what you meanStill finding stuff - how much more can there be?
I can see the floor in all rooms, cupboard doors all shut - how can there be more carp?!?!?!0 -
Thank you deckogecko
Nearly cried last night, as told the much beloved that had chucked a wee pair of old trainer thingy shoes.
"Oh, I liked them, your wee frog shoes."
Noooooooooooo!
Did not want to hear that. Should have kept them, wah!!!!!!!
Will never get anything similar.
Calmed down, and maybe good to get rid as would then never be able to get rid of them.

I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!
How is everyone doing?
Pudsey I am sorry to hear about your Mum, sending lots of good wishes your way.
I am on a mission this week as we are starting our move into the new house next week so things need to GO GO GO!!
Very stressful, I am finding it easier to let go of things in general...some things I am 'feeling the fear and doing it anyway' and then other things I am having the mulling cider spices debate in my head (was this you guinea pig girl? It rings so true with me!) and it just makes be huff and sigh and stomp around cuz I can't decide what to DO with things.
I will be doing some fleabay and facebook selling, and hopefully lots of freecycle/charity too.
Watching O.C Cleaners to help motivate me but gosh it is a bit extreme for the hoarders :-/Don't turn a slip up into a give up

Hi all!
Today I have mostly been remembering why I try not t drink wine on a school night *doom* However I had 4 girlfriends round including one who has terminal cancer (given a year 7 years ago- breast cancer that is now in bones, lungs etc but currently dormant and off treatment- YAY!) and I had a real moment of "actually, s*d it. life is too damn short and sometimes staying up til quarter to one in the morning drinking red wine with girlfriends is what you need to do!"
however this morning I did suffer for my art somewhat!
Sold another 8 things on ebay- another £90 or so so that's fab. and 8 more things out. Although I did buy 2 new tops for the princely sum of £12 in Peacocks today!
Im actually really enjoying my ebaying at the mo and getting a real buzz out of sending things off to be enjoyed in new homes. I know that most things I buy on ebay I have fought to "win" and it makes parting with things easier knowing someone somewhere is sat behind their computer going "YESSSSs!! I just won a New Look Bird Kimono from a woman in Bristol- Ive been after that top for AGES" and they have that glowy ebay win feeling! It feels like they will love and cherish said item so in my head its easier to let go. If I give things to the chazza (cs) then someone yucky might buy them and not LURVE them as I did.
Is it a hoarder thing? The overthinking and seeing "things" as beigs with emotions?Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.

Not a lot done this week, feel so lazy in comparison!
I do have an interview next week however which I have a good feeling about. Very friendly telephone interview yesterday and then a face-to-face - yay!
Got to spend the weekend doing stuff to stop me from fretting over it so luckily it's free listing on ebay and I'm going to list as much as I can.
My kitchen is clutterfree just need to expand the cleanNtidy Zone to the bathrooms and halls. We can do it!

I find it a lot easier to let things go if I think someone else is going to get some enjoyment out of the things I no longer need.
Throughout my whole decluttering process, apart from paper which has gone in recycling, I haven't thrown out very much at all. I'm continually suprised at what will sell on eBay.
Some of the things I've sold on eBay belonged to my parents, and there's other things of mine and my husbands that have been in the loft for years. I feel if I don't sort everything out now, in 30 odd years when I'm dead and gone someone will come along and throw everything out. I'd much rather sort it out now, and let someone enjoy things that I care about.
I will do a bit of listing this weekend, but I'm not going to go mad, as I've got a day out the following weekend, so won't have so much wrapping time!Early retired - 18th December 2014

I have had another great day with stuff from work. This has probably been the happiest week of my life. Nothing spectacular has happened, but things seem to be coming together well. (And I don't feel that I will jinx it by saying so).
I have interspersed housework with work today - stayed up until 4.30am this morning to get some detailed work done without interruption, and got some feedback on it earlier today so more adjustments to do later.
Haven't done any decluttering today although DH has taken all our previously sorted stuff to its various new homes.
Just for a brief, tiny moment I feel that I am in charge of today!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
