Thank you! Have done 5 minutes of rounding up OH's random cables and paperwork; put them in a basket then placed them in his office to sort out. Taken some of my paperwork upstairs to file.

Ironing... not sure I remember what that is? Actually have found the wonderweb stuff so I might go and fix the hems on a couple of pairs of trousers. Hmm, right off to do that now.

    *Another kick for kate*

I am still having a happy week. Getting some good help work-wise, and DH and I seem to be supporting each other on a daily basis better now, so I am getting a lot extra done.

Haven't done much decluttering - just odd bits here and there. Have a few biggish work tasks to do over the next few weeks but I am less worried about fitting everything in.

    Hi to all

Cant kick kate p up the bum cus there hasnt been much activity going on here.:mad::mad:

I keep reading about getting rid of clutter and the feng shui people say 'it allows new things to come into your life' as in life changes. well am prepared to give it a try.
You guys and girls are making such progress and some of you have made big decisions in your life. Its time for me to do this too.

I have big issues relating to job /career .
I really am treated badly at work i need to do something about it all

OK so as you know I am CHURNING queen
I really should change my user name. I have spent most of my day off gathering all the CS bags up (going through them again  and have 4 plus 1 rags in the hallway and its going to CS now!!

I am going shopping soon(food that is) and the bags are going now before i change my mind.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Still stalling a bit.

Made yet another small bag of clothes this morning though....mainly rag.....a jumper I hide in a lot of winter, a few t shirts with holes. No one sees them as they are under layers but.....I know, and I don't need them, so they are out.

The more I sort the. More seems to appear, which is a not depressing. Parent in residence refuses to let to of duplicated books of theirs and also denies any of the clutter is theirs, big fat untruth!! Today denied leaving the kitchen bench a mess too, until I pointed out that as I never use that bench I have been waiting since Monday to see when they would clean it.

I have been feeling so much better recently, and I am determined now to keep going and sort stuff out in a big way.

I am sorry I am not keeping up with everyone's progress. :(. I just have needed to make the most of my health improvement and knuckle down for a bit.

Well, I went up to into the loft again this morning, to find the other box that I thought I had with my parents things in.

Couldn't find it anywhere. That means I either let it go last time, or it's still up there, hiding behind something! If it's there, I'm sure it'll be found at some point. So I took two other boxes instead.

I've got rid of lots of paperwork, selected and photographed more things for eBay and put back in the loft three neat plastic boxes of things to keep.

After the last two days work I feel mentally and physically exhausted.

I've got a large box of photos to go through, which I'll do at a leisurely pace and get the stuff eBayed from the last two days work, before I do anything else. I just need a bit of a break from intensive decluttering.

I certainly couldn't have done the last two days work if I was ill or not in a good place mentally. I think it's important to feel right before anything major is done.

Therefore, I'll be conserving my energies for a few weeks before I start again.

Thanks for all the kicks, I knew I could rely on you all ;)

Picklepot, hope the cs bags have gone now. Sorry to hear you are struggling with your job, hope you can find some space to work out what you want to / can do to resolve the problems.

WW - you sound so centred and calm!

Well, 7 pairs of trousers re-hemmed, bottom drawer in kitchen sorted out and one bag of cutlery and several useless implements (potato ricer anyone?) put in a bag for the charity shop along with a pair of jeans and a pair of fleecy, comfy but really lairy lounge trousers :o.

Anyone have any idea how much someone would charge to put a new zip in a pair of trousers? Have 4 pairs (no idea how I manage it :rotfl:) which need new zips and it is completely beyond my skills so if it is a lot to get them repaired I will rag-bag them.

Am having pangs that I haven't been food shopping in days and I'm missing out on all these bargains (you may remember my hoarding shows up most in the larder :o)

I have done an inventory on my larder and freezers and we have sooo much food, we could literally be snowed in for 6 months and survive :rotfl: but I still feel this need to buy more. Am going to light the fire soon then I can't go out :)

Maybe put aside the money you may have spent if you'd've gone out so you can see it building up towards a redecoration project for when you've dehoarded.

I'm still working hard. Hope DH will fit in a trip to the recycling centre tomorrow, and also get rid of the bag for the charity shop.

I have said 'no' to four or five things that people have kindly tried to fob off on my daughter. It is a skill I am still developing to not offend them at the same time. Any tips for wording would be gratefully received.

Whitewing.. i used to struggle with this a lot. Now i tend do say 'thats so kind of you although i'm not sure we have a use for that right now' if that does not work and they persist i tend to add 'if i cant find a use for it areyou happy for me to pass it on to someone that can? ( meaning i will leave it a few weeks and then let it go to the CS)

I have tried this on my family and now dont feel the guilt as i feel i have asked their permission.
